Today is a big one!! In our usual spot by the corner of north and west stands there is a nervous excitement on the air as the Cherries host Liverpool. We have everything crossed for the greatest result ever.

If you are coming down to the game, why not arrive a little earlier and enjoy a couple of drinks and some decent food. Chicken and chorizo is the order of the day for us!! Hope to see you all.

The order book is now open for the next 'Fresh Paella Thursday' on February 6th 5pm-7pm. If you don't know the drill, scroll down to the first comment and click the link to our website where you can read and pre-order online, or contact us by phone or message if you prefer.

We are planning to offer a semi-set 3-course menu on occasions throughout the year to give people the opportunity enjoy more of Idelica's favourite flavours of Spain. Fresh orange season is underway and we'll be infusing and caramelizing some to pair with our desserts, and our sharing starter incorporates fine examples of the Spanish antipasti that most people find irresistible.

Meanwhile, have a great day - we're at the football tomorrow and beating Liverpool will require a certain manager to 'Eat Paella & Drink Estrella'. We can certainly help with one of those things... 😍

Wow! Thank you so much to our local regulars, past patrons and newcomers who partook in yesterday's Fresh Paella Thursday, we reached our biggest uptake so far since launching our weekly paella takeaway service and we didn't even have to go chasing gazebos in the storm!

We have no portions of Chicken and Chorizo Paella left, but as of now (Midday) we do still have 5 Seafood Paella, 6 Vegetable Paella and 7 Burnt Basque Cheesecake portions up for grabs. Paella that has been carefully prepared, slow-cooked, rested a little and served fresh from the pan is THE best way to enjoy it.

It's been a long and unfolding story but for a while now every Thursday we have been cooking one, two or three varieties of paella to be ready for 5pm, and getting the word out that we'll have freshly-cooked portions available to purchase and collect from our Unit. There's been a lot of guesswork to anticipate the demand for each paella variety, but we have now taken this to the next level - and today we launch our very own website pre-ordering facility (a link to this is in a comment below - to distract the autobots who don't want us to ever leave facebook!)

Now you can pre-order your paella up to 5 days in advance of the 'Fresh Paella Thursday' Takeaway Night (5pm-7pm) online and guarantee that your portions of choice will be ready to collect. You can also book a delivery of your order if your postcode is within BH24. The pre-order deadline is 10am on the Wednesday before, but thereafter up until 5pm on the Thursday you can pre-order from any of the paella varieties that are still showing as 'in stock'.

Of course, we aren't going completely digital! The Spanish Place - and Idelica's office - is open to visitors from 10am-5pm every weekday if you want to visit and order in person, so maybe pick up some frozen paella or something else from our Spanish deli range, or try something from our cafe takeaway menu, or talk to us about any of our food and catering services too. And we will still take your order details or check if there are any portions available last minute by phone if you want call it in on 01425 350350.

It’s Fresh Paella Thursday today. Thank you for those who ordered in advance - your orders are safe and sound whether they be for collection or delivery. For anybody wanting some of our fresh paella, we have a few unreserved portions of chicken and chorizo paella only left today. Either take your chance and collect from our office between 5pm and 7pm or call and reserve.

If you wanted something different than chicken and chorizo paella, remember we keep a stock of all varieties of our frozen paella and these can be collected during opening hours. Frozen paella is £7 per portion or 3 for £20.

Fresh paella Thursday is available once again this Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm.

If you want to guarantee your collection or delivery (BH24 postcodes only for delivery) get your orders into us by 10:00 tomorrow morning. If you want to take the chance, come along on Thursday from 5 to 7 and see what we have left.

For many footie fans the FA Cup is special. Third round today which brings AFCBournemouth into the draw and we welcome the Baggies from West Bromwich to the Vitality stadium. What everyone needs to settle the nerves of a cup tie is sustenance and we are proud to offer that at usual spot by the fanzone at the entrance to the North stand. We welcome home and away fans alike!
