We spend the winter months working ON our business!

Over the last few weeks, we have been working on a new business marketing strategy with Rachelle from ! This, combined with completing an 8 week digital marketing course means we are raring to go!

In the coming months you will start to see our online presence changing in the following ways:

Business Name Update - we will consolidate weddings and glamping under 1 business identity - Little Seed Farm

Instagram Changes - all content will move onto the Little Seed Farm Instagram and pages (Owl Barn will become inactive)

Website Refresh - a snazzy new format is being developed to better represent weddings, farming and glamping! Our www dots may also change...watch out for that!

Branding Refresh - combining weddings, glamping and farming!

We can't wait to share all the things we have been working with you!

We can cater for weddings with up to 40 day guests in the barn, with space for extra guests to join you for a dance in the evening 💃 🕺

Our first ever market on the farm!

This is going to be so special, bringing together a fabulous group of artisan businesses all running and operating in Nidderdale!

There are so many fantastic, quirky businesses in this beautiful remote area, we decided we needed to get them together and introduce them to all of you!

From stick makers to artists and bag making to leather tanning...we have something for everyone!

We will also have food, coffee AND a band playing from 3pm and yes of course the bar will be OPEN!

Tickets are free but we ask that you register interest in coming along so we can predict numbers!

The magic of trees!

Planning a full-on marquee wedding?

Snowy days offer us a brilliant opportunity to show how trees provide awesome shelter for a marquee!

The snow is lying outside the zone sheltered by the trees, so, if you site your marquee within the no-snow zone (anytime of year) it is getting maximum protection from any weather that may arrive on your big day!

It's really important to talk to the landowner about prevailing wind as well as the best views, most level ground, easiest access to services, etc, when planning a DIY field or marquee wedding!

Farm Post Friday! 🐄 🥛 🚜

The expression on that calfs face 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, it's back! For those followers who haven't seen these posts before, we use Fridays to share a little bit about farm life...after all, no farm; no glamping or wedding venue!

These little beauties are this years heifer, or female, calves. They are coming up to 5 months old and have just moved in to a purpose built shed to house them until spring.

In this shed, we have suspended an exercise ball 🤔 this is for the calves to play with, like children with a football ⚽️!

Hopefully, the weather will dry up and we can release them all out to the fields soon, where they will stay until late October!
