Wow!... Wow!... Wow!..... To all the Mother's Day customers who filled the order book beyond anything I have known before... THANK YOU.
There were so many orders, I walked into the shop Friday morning at 5 am and didn't leave until 8.15 pm Saturday evening (no sleep). You have no idea what your support for my little shop at the top of the hill means. It was a crazy few days that I was and am so grateful for.
To the customers who walked into the disaster zone that was the shop yesterday morning, I can not apologise enough. The 20-minute buffer I thought I had between deliveries and collections to tidy the chaos didn't happen, and so the full extent of the 'behind the scenes' was evident for all to see. Again, I am sorry you walked into that.
To the customers I wasn't able to take orders for, I felt so bad. If I could have created something a little bit fabulous, I would have done it. But there is only so much my one pair of hands could manage, but still, I wish I didn't have to disappoint you.
I couldn't put a sentence together at the end of yesterday, but thank you all again. You are simply amazing....x ♡x

🌺 Mother's Day Orders 🌺......
Orders are still being taken, but please don't leave it much longer.....
If you don't make the order book before it closes, the shop will have a fabulous selection of 'grab and go' planters, flower jars, posies, flower gift bags, bouquets, and cards for collection.
Saturday 9 - 5, Sunday 10 - 11 only. ( For the rest of the day, we are out on deliveries).

I've been made aware of a rumour that is circulating regarding Mollie's and that we are closing down. This IS NOT the case. It's no secret that it's a challenging time for many small businesses, and having this said is not helpful.
We're here, doing what we do best, and should the story change, it'll be my story to tell.
There is new gift stock and artificial flowers starting to arrive now. So, if you want to pop by, say hello, and have a browse, you are more than welcome..... x♡x

Thank you for all the support Mollie and I have received throughout this passed year. It''s been a very trying year, and it certainly tested my resilience to say the least, but I am so very grateful to all who either visited the shop or invited me in to your homes and businesses to dress them ready for Christmas and allowed us to end the year on a high.

Introducing Mollie and the story behind my shop …

Mollie Smyth, an aunt of my father, lived in the emerald beauty of Ireland in the early 1900’s. Sadly her life was cut short when she passed away in 1939, aged nineteen.

Fast forward many years later, we stumbled across an old Irish book of Mollie’s containing pages and pages of her poetry. One poem in particular had a lasting effect on me …

‘Mollie Smyth is my name.
With this pen, I write the same.
Crinstown is my place of birth.
Heaven is my salvation.
When I am dead and in my grave
and all my books are rotten.
This little book will tell my name
when I am but forgotten.’

In 2018, Mollie Smyth’s opened. My little flower shop at the top of the hill now bears her name, standing as a living tribute to her legacy that continues to bloom.
