New Activity Alert 🔔🔊

Are you looking for a local activity to socialise and learn new musical skills?

Join our monthly African drum circle where you will learn to play the djembe and Dum Dum: Traditional drums from West Africa.

Are you a beginner? Do you have a little experience playing and you want to hone your skills? Are you a professional but want to play with other people? You will learn the techniques of playing drums: rhythm, beat, sound quality and how to improvise.

From 1.30pm till 2.30pm we welcome those with basic knowledge and more advanced level. You will join our friendly community of drummers, and will learn knowledge and traditions of African drumming.

Drums are provided but if you have one at home, you can bring it!

Note: Instruments welcomed are African drums like djembe, talking drum etc, shekere, agogo (gong). It's free for children below 4years.

Black History Month 2023

In collaboration with , we embark on a photographic journey that seeks to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and resilience of the black individuals who have called this place home.

"Faces of Black Joy" is a photography project dedicated to capturing the essence of our community members through the power of portraiture.

This project is more than just photographs; it's a testament to the rich tapestry of lives, stories, and experiences that make our community so unique. Each portrait is a window into a world of strength, perseverance, and unwavering spirit.

Our goal is to create a visual narrative that transcends stereotypes and showcases the depth of character and the myriad of emotions that exist within our community. Through these images, we aim to shed light on the triumphs, challenges, and dreams of our diverse neighbors, friends, and family.

"Faces of Black Joy" is an invitation to explore the expressions, the heritage, and the aspirations that bind us together as a community. It is a celebration of the individuality and collective strength that define us.

Meet this month’s Sip ‘n’ Paint instructor. ✨

Akose Enebeli is a Nigerian designer and Artist. He has a background in architecture; he is skilled and passionate about creativity and everything creative.
He believes in drawing inspiration from experiences and things around the immediate environment.
His art is an expression of abstraction, primarily using acrylic paint on Canvas as his preferred method of painting.
Outside of creating his own art, he has constantly evolved in his creative journey, exploring photography and successfully hosting a solo photography exhibition in 2019.
