She was 1 in a million, the best mumsy, nan and friend to everyone that knew her. Without knowing, Family and friends chose the same colour schemes for their tributes. Loving known as “our Debs” with her glasses in her tunic pocket, our mumsy and the grandchildren’s angel. They all looked so pretty together. RIP Debbie 🩷💜🤍

Hi guys, Happy Easter 💚💛

I had the pleasure of doing another Spring inspired tribute recently, a huge 23” heart. It was for a grandad who loved being in the garden, feeding the birds and loved a chrysanthemum. “blooms of colour, without any scent” he used to say. 🥰

Such a pretty meaningful tribute to be asked to make, Spring flowers, multiple chrysanths and birds on branches 👌🏼

Evening guys, so as you know, sometimes I need to get my creative juices flowing. I was so touched to receive a request from someone who had seen this aspect of my work and as such, approached me to do her mums tributes. Through all the heartbreak, the family still managed to choose some stunning tributes, which I shall post later in the week.

However, there was one very special tribute we’d like to show you tonight, her mums beloved pet pug 😊

Apologies for the lack of funeral posts everyone, rest assured I have been a busy bee and will resume posting this week.

If you follow me, you’ll know I am a florist who is equally passionate about special occasion and wedding floristry, as I am about my tribute work.

This samurai sword, tribute was from grandchildren, for their late Nan, lovingly nicknamed, nana sword.

The nickname was coined after the plastic sword was bought by their nan and innocently, she became Nana sword.

I wanted to soften the tribute by presenting it on a feminine pillow of foliage and daisies with a pretty Spring spray, in-line with the sword itself.

**it was important to get the structure stable, without losing the details of this tribute, images are included below.

Evening everyone, isn’t this rain tedious, roll on Spring I say. With Spring in mind, I wanted to share a memorial tribute I made last week, to be laid in a very special spot at the Crematorium.

My lovely customer gave me some insight into the person, behind the tribute and let me be creative

“She Loved the spring yellow colour and purple and pink carnations . Spring with its new beginnings and being able to feed the birds”

I chose a heart base for the tribute, to show the love felt in the families hearts, for their lost loved ones and the rest was free hand

*my customer was very happy with my adaptation

One of last week’s tribute, for a young man, who will be missed by 100’s of people and his loss will be felt forever, by his family and friends

As Liam was a West Ham supporter, we choose these colours accordingly.

At the request of the customer, I’d also planted a claret, Cala lily and single Ruby roses, in an individual water source, so the family had items to keep after the service.

In January, I was asked if I could make 2 bespoke tributes. They were from the grandchildren, who had lost their nan and great nan. She wasn’t just a great, she was Super nan to them! And as such, she had the accolade of being their Queen.

My take on the Superman sign, for a SUPER NAN, in the families chosen red and yellow and the richest of red roses, fit for a queen, with a handmade, 2D crown attached to the frame, to complete this truly person tribute

Anyone who has used me for tribute work, knows I’m all for flowers and massive on attention to detail.

Due to the way I choose to work, I dont offer ribbon edge,I work with flowers, not nylon or synthetic ribbon. Using ribbon edge reduces the amount of flowers being used in your tribute, but potentially reduces the cost on a per letter basis. The environmental impact of nylon ribbon, staples and pins is huge. Flowers and biodegradable oasis is much kinder. Granted there is still the plastic base to be broken down, but it’s recyclable and I’m sure in the future the concept of plastic frames will be addressed/eradicated.

I offer satin sashes, with printed messages for your tributes, I outsource this to another local, small business, the satins aren’t covered in pins or staples and are much easier to store away, if the family wish to keep them.
By using this method to personalise tributes, it removed more use of nylon/synthetic ribbon and stapled on metal letters. This also means a reduction in synthetic materials hitting our landfills.

I choose to use multiple flowers, for my letter clusters, rather than the 3 rose cluster, unless there’s a specific reason the family requests a small cluster as decoration.

Taking all of the above into consideration, I’m still able to offer a per letter price of £45. Obviously
if large bridal roses or specific, out of season flowers are requested, the per letter cost rises . The same applies if a loose coverage of letters is requested, whereby lots of individual flower heads cover each letter.

Hopeful this post will explain the reason I don’t use nylon ribbon and the reason l can’t, reduced my costs

Hi guys, earlier in December I was asked to do the funeral flowers for a wonderful lady named Patricia. I have known Pat’s daughter and grandchildren for many years.

There were some lovely elements to their tributes that were personal to the family, which I wanted to share with you.

Pat’s favourite flower was a Bird of paradise, she loved the Summer, she loved bright colours and freesias and lilies were some of her favourite flowers.

In the Summer she visited a lavender farm with her daughter and grandchildren, so as an added touch to the NAN tribute, I incorporated lavender she’d picked from that day.

What a lovely memory for the family, on the day they said their goodbyes, to remember the sights and smells of that warm, summer, day, they spent together ❤️

Hi everyone, it’s that time again, where I reflect on all the bereaved families I’ve met this year. Those who are facing their first Christmas and New year, without someone they love.

Memories of those lost, loved ones, that this year you won’t buy a Christmas card for, see an empty seat at the table, the missing extra pair of hands, helping with the washing up, the one who always ate the “purple one” from the quality street, the one who insisted on Baileys, the one who sung Christmas songs, out of tune, the one who always cheated at board games, the one that danced all night, to see the new year in.

I’ll be thinking of you all these holidays and I hope you can think of those you’ve lost, with a warm smile, love in your heart and just one, or two tears ❤️

As I’ve said before, thank you for asking me to make their tributes, it was an honour 💚
