This bright, modern building provides a welcoming space for the whole community, particularly young peo

ple, to take part in fun and engaging activities. Our packed programme includes youth clubs, sports, youth action, advice, music and arts. The building offers superb dance and performance space, a recording studio, games room, a café, art room, workshop and computer suite. These are all available to hire for those who would like to run their own clubs, events or activities. Built as part of the Harold Hill Ambitions Project, in partnership with Havering Council and the Big Lottery Fund, myplace officially opened its doors to the public in June 2012. Call in at any time, our friendly staff will be happy to give you a tour and provide information about our current activities.

The Book Buffet is back @ MyPlace tomorrow!

Saturday 9 November, 10:30 am to 2pm

Drop into MyPlace and join Harold Hill’s In the Clouds online bookshop owner, author and storyteller, Eva Olave Martinez for a family storytelling Book Buffet!

Suitable for families with primary-aged children, this is a fantastic way to engage with books, creativity and storytelling.

There will be free storytelling sessions from Eva at 10.30 am, 12.30 and 2 pm and you can sample books from popular publishers Usborne Books and fill in your plate.

Eva’s book is about the importance of drinking water and reading - and families taking part can take away awesome water drop stickers to put on school water bottles.

Havering Mind - The Ready For Adulthood 6-week face-to-face programme starts on Friday 8th November, from 4-6pm.

You will need to complete a referral form so they can contact you for a 'Connection Meeting' to get you up to speed with the details and hopefully feeling as comfortable as possible about starting the programme.

"We've partnered up with Future Youth Zone in Dagenham and participants of this group aged 17 to 19 (and up to 25 with additional needs) will also receive a year’s free membership to Future Youth Zone! MyPlace is an official hub with CleanupUK This means anybody can borrow equipment from us to carry out their own litter picks in the local community. All you need to do is come in to reception and ask 😀 We will take your contact details then hand over the equipment - please be aware that under 18's will need to be supervised by a responsible adult. There is a QR code displayed within the building that links you to our online hub where you can log your litter picks and upload any photos. You can also do this via this link: www.cleanupuk.org.uk/hubs/myplacerm3 Please return all your full sacks (white Havering sacks that we provide) to the MyPlace building for disposal. Please do not attempt to litter pick anything dangerous, like broken glass, syringes and drug paraphernalia.
