Whilst the red heaters under the seating area at The Foresters Arms were amazing in the cold wind....not so good for seeing what I was painting or the colours in the kit 🙈....warm hands, glowing cheeks, dodgy line work, can't have it all 🤷‍♀️🤣

Well that didn't quite work out as planned 🤦‍♀️🤣
Snippets of videos, handful of pictures, crazy busy events and parties and wicked flu thrown in the mix.
Will sort some editing out and share where we've been but inbetween travelling round Essex, Herts and getting royally lost on trains to London, coughing like I'm on 80 a day and attempting to keep up with paperwork....tis' a bit bonkers to say the least xx

First Christmas event today for Fiserv in Basildon. So much going on there but no chance to wander...normal face painting queue commenced before anything else 😱
Fab to be asked back after providing painting, glitter and gems at their adult FiFest in the summer. The lovely Rhona came to help again as well, it's a definite 2 painter job for this corporate client.
And if we painted 5 christmas designs between us I'll be shocked. Unicorns, butterflies, spiderman, cats yes, christmas not so much 🤷‍♀️🤣

6 weeks have gone by in a blur! After the busiest Halloween to date, I knew a bit of a reset was needed before the craziness of Christmas commenced. Social was the easiest option so bit of radio silence...but that didn't mean there wasn't any painting happening ✨️
So along with parties I've had 3 masterclass sessions with Debut Academy, teaching their level one students specific skills for a media makeup/paint look ready for a photoshoot.
Absolutely fully booked, literally not even an hour slot free now before Christmas, with birthdays, pubs, clubs, schools, light ups, events, corporate gigs and office parties 🎨. I've even had to do a print out for the lot indoors so they know where I am each day 🙈😂....and that's without some fabulous painters also covering overspill gigs.
Going to try really hard to get some content in the next month, to share some of the amazing locations we are booked to paint and glitter at.
Tomorrow is Christmas bling making day. That translates to me sitting at the table, surrounded by gems and embellishments, using some colourful vocabulary when I'm stuck in a right mess with medical double sided tape 🤦‍♀️

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of painting on Tropical Lagoon ward at Queens hospital. I try to support Clowns In The Sky charity whenever I can and this was part of the play in health care week.
This Saturday I'll be supporting another charity, St Francis Hospice. The hospice were beyond amazing for my mum, so I'm already guessing it's going to be a bit emotional (q red, blotchy face painter in the corner) but to be able to support them when I can is also on my to do list.
Only there until 1pm so pop down if you're local, lots going on 🥰

Last weekend was a quieter one, probably the quietest since April. It also gave me a chance to swap brushes and do some much needed painting indoors!
3 birthdays and a nursery open day 🤩
Shout out to Krazy Kidz Cafe in Ongar. Brilliant soft play, super staff and always host fab parties. Tiny Treasures Day Nursery in Brentwood had an incredible response from their open day. No surprise as the facilities and staff were top notch. And finished with a party, with a stressed mumma who was worried everything wouldn't be right and she absolutely smashed it 👌🥰

Freshers are finished until the summer. Another brilliant few gigs with RecklessLDN and Infinity n Beyond Events. Reckless run a tight ship, awesome nights, tunes are banging and great crowds from about 4 different uni's. As for Infinity....princesses, mascots, entertainers, dj's, musicians, singers, dancers....talented little bunch that they are 👌🤩

Super weekend of parties and 2nd of 4 freshers uv gigs (thank you to Claire for covering Witham Carnival to 🙏🎨).
Have to say waddling out of clubs at 2am, covered in uv paint splodges, was not something I thought would be happening 9 years ago when I started Bugz 💫
Our uv paints are all FDA approved (as are all our products) and are brilliant for glow parties. And yes we have some amazing entertainers that offer music and games for a range of ages with that theme.

Very rarely do I get caught on camera, either working or posing (my smile is a grimacy snarl....really don't do photos 🤪🫣)
But the thing that's made me smile most about these throwbacks from working on set....

My hair has grown about 8 inches 🙌🤣
Those that know me know how ridiculously slow my hair grows, so my excitement at seeing the difference in length, I'm actually allowed to share a me in the pic pic 🎨

First full week of kids back. New class, new teachers, new schools, new clothes because they grew 8 inches over the holidays 😱😅
Summer break is awesome but it's good to get back in a routine.
So with that the diary is already open for next year, with bookings already slotted in until May. It's never to early to get your date pencilled in 🎨

And in a blink a week away in Cornwall is done and dusted.
Home but straight back to 4 parties this weekend. Back in the office Monday catching up with forms and bookings, seriously can't do them on a silly phone screen!
I'd love to say I'd be back to officey bits straight away but the ridiculous amount of washing wins hands down.....I so know there's lots of nodding heads out there muttering " yep we hear you and feel your pain!" 🤣

And the phone is back 😜...only took Tesco 11 days 🤔
It was really shocking how much you actually rely on these little devices, not the calls but everything else!!! So, so glad I do the hard copy forms along with email confirmation.
I have nothing saved from the change over though peeps. It all got wiped so no previous from WhatsApp or text (fb and email are cool).
2 days and counting, 2 corporate gigs 🫶

Last 3 days of bookings before a week off. Love what I do, love playing around with paints and glitter and absolutely love meeting so many people but....so looking forward to a complete week of shut down 🥰🤣
