This post goes out to all the doubters...

Those who receive a wedding quote from a florist and are shocked because it's more expensive than they anticipated.

Perhaps they have seen a package that Marks & Spencer's offer?
Or they've spoken to a friend who did it herself after doing a day course in floristry?
Maybe Aunt F***y gave some advice, she got married in the 70's (third marriage twice divorced) she told them that flowers weren't a big thing and 'no one remembers them anyway.'

I mean, it's just throwing a few flowers together, surely???

No. Afraid not. We are PROFESSIONAL florists. We are trained, highly skilled creatives who put everything into your big day.

Your wedding day take weeks of preparation for us.
Working with our suppliers to make sure we can guarantee to get the exact blooms for your big day, ordering strategically to make sure they're at the perfect point of life on your day.
Not too open. Not too tight. Just perfect. Sourcing containers, props, tealights (long burners of course, cost a bit more but hey, they'll still be glowing come 11pm) and accessories too, the exact coloured ribbon you may not even realise you will need?
Details. Details. Details.

Heck, even conditioning all the blooms when they arrive on the week of your wedding can take us a full day.

Not to mention the all nighters.
The getting up at 3am to make sure your buttonholes are fresh, fresh, fresh. The setting up in the dark. The pulling out of a venue at 5am.
You know, fair to say we definitely work the clock.

Not forgetting our experience...
When you pay for your wedding flowers you're not just paying for your wedding, instead you're paying for the years of 'pre your wedding' practices.
For me, near on 20 years of industry experience. The 400+ weddings that have happened before yours has...

So, if you'd like to give your money to a big corporation who don't give a damn about you or your wedding day, please by all means, go ahead.
Doors there.

But, if you'd like to work with creative, passionate people, go see where they work, benefit from meeting a real life person, 🙋🏻‍♀️ enjoy that cup of tea, discuss your big day, be educated in the ever changing world of flowers. Trust us it's a HUGE world.

Our industry has ALWAYS been a hard industry to work in.
Even pre Covid. Pre Brexit. Pre Recession. (Twice!)

But when it comes to passion, creativity and devotion to a job. Well that's us. The crazy florists.
Botanical nerds that just can't get enough of all things flower related.
No switch off, only love for flowers. ❤

I only ever work on one Wedding per day which is why I can move floral arrangements from Ceremony to Reception and then these florals can be gifted to friends and family to be enjoyed at home and relive those precious memories- it’s all in the details
