Do you grow dahlias? If so do you leave them in the ground or dig them up and store them for the winter?
I usually dig mine up. But...
It's so much work to dig them up, wash and dry them, trim them, store them at the right temperature and start them off again in the spring.
And this year my dahlias are only just starting to really flower.
If I'd have left them in they would have had a head start.
I'm thinking of gambling on them surviving in the ground this year.
What about you?

As the temperatures are dropping slightly next week the fresh flowers will be back on the stall.
Some beautiful colours picked tonight - dahlias, zinnias, snap dragons and cosmos. 🩷

I've decided to put some dried flowers on the flower stall, particularly at the moment as this coming hot weather is just not good for fresh flowers.
But please message me if you would like a fresh bouquet, preferably with a day's notice so I can condition the flowers first so they stay fresher.
