It’s official - WE CAN OPEN!
The Village hall can now officially open from Monday 17th May, so that also means we can too 🙌
I’ve just checked the Government website and not a lot has changed for us. So here is the final info about how we can safely open playgroup.
• We have a limit of only 15 adults (not counting children under five years old and session leaders)
• You must pre-book your space via the link which will be posted on the Rotherfield Baby & Toddler page on Friday 14th May at 10am
• Please don’t come if you are experiencing any Covid symptoms, tested positive in the two weeks before sessions or feeling generally poorly. We need to keep everyone safe and well
• Sessions are £2.00 per family booking (this money goes to hall fees, cleaning materials and insurance) and this is payable on the morning in cash (just pop it in the tin)
• Sessions are 9:30-11:00am
• If you can’t make the session you have booked, then please message the page so we can offer your space to someone else.
• There is free parking outside the hall in the car park (I would arrive after 9:15 as Rotherfield primary school & Pre-school is in the same area and it’s busy before then)
• Everyone will be required to sign in using the Governments Track and Trace system
• Masks must be worn inside the hall (adults only and excludes those exempt)
• Social distancing must be maintained at all times
• There will be no refreshments or snacks available as the kitchen will remain closed for now, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
• Each session is based around a theme starting with The Very Hungry Caterpillar on the 17th May. A book, craft and play zone will be dedicated to the chosen theme each week - let’s have some fun!
• There will be a dedicated baby area
• Please also feel free to book a space even if your baby normally naps around the session time. I personally know how important it is to have some adult company and make new friends
• The group is open to everyone (parents, grandparents, childminders and friends), but as we are restricted on numbers, we are kindly asking that you only attend if you are from the local area (e.g Rotherfield, Mark Cross, Eridge, Crowborough). Hopefully it won’t be long until we can open it up to the wider area and have no capacity restrictions.
• Oh and one very last important thing...we’re asking everyone to kindly help pack the toys away. We have an extra cleaning routine that needs to be included before leaving the hall, so any extra help will be embraced with a big smile! 🤗
If you have any questions pop us over a DM.
We’re very much looking forward to meeting you all.
