Hellooooo! I was out and about in Derbyshire today... Office will travel! This is my new decision for 2025, to take office days on the road!
This time of year it's quieter on the floral front, but extremely busy with planning, appointment's, social media planning, newsletters, catching up on admin and account's too.
We're so lucky to have this scenery on the doorstep, beautiful Derbyshire. 🤍☃️ So, I got the camper van out, all my files, Internet dongle and picked up Alana Bennett to have a brainstorming session regarding wedding flowers 🌸 and wedding cakes. 🍰
As we're both recommended supplier's at Sitwell Arms Hotel we also had a conference call with Karen one of the lovely wedding coordinators there.
We'll both be at the wedding showcase at this venue on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January to help you with your wedding vision.

Thanks to everyone who attended one of the Christmas wreath workshop's at different locations this year. Each and every one of you created a beautiful door wreath. I love teaching these classes, so get booking in early if you'd like to host one. I've already got 3 booking's for next year for 140 people!

This one I made for my lovely friend Alana Bennett who is a luxurious wedding cake maker. I saw the little bakers with a whisk and spoon then to top off the wreath some glitzy rolling pins!

🔔🔔🔔Bet my wreath makers are glad we made storm proof wreaths!!
😢😢I never use foam bases as these fall to pieces outside in the slightest bit of wind.
😁😁Here's a few tips if you're making your own at home.
🎄Use either moss or straw base and bind your foliage on firmly with string or reel wire.
🎄Use metal pins or wires to secure additional ribbons, cones, decorations and secure firmly to the base.

This one at Hellaby Hall Hotel was fantastic with food served first, followed by the demonstration and video tutorial. Then it was all hands on getting creative with various Pine, Cupress, nobilis fir, Holly, cinnamon, pine cones, fruit slices and luxurious ribbons.

I’m Julie Woodhams and I have been passionate about flowers since the age of 14 years when I did work experience on a nursery and also completed my first wedding at the age of 16- 32 years ago!
During my time as a florist, I have completed over 2500 weddings, from simple intimate affairs, to the more luxurious stately homes filled with lush blooms. I have helped numerous families choose funeral flowers to say the perfect goodbye to their loved one. Each wedding and funeral having my undivided attention to detail and completed perfectly. I have a natural creative talent for designing unique unusual tributes should you wish to have a more fitting piece - is sewing machine, horse, dog, miniature replica garden, tractor - the list goes on with various designs I’ve made.
I have a vast amount of knowledge, having worked on nurseries and grown flowers myself, through to importing flowers from all over the world. I have won awards both at local level, region level and national level with the Flower Council of Holland.

My process is simple.
Meet and discuss your flowers, where I will provide you with a quotation.
Offer a discount if you book within a month of your wedding consultation - this helps me with my diary bookings.
Arrange an appointment 2 weeks before your wedding to finalise all details and pay the final balance.
Arrange for you to view your flowers the day before your wedding.
Arrange delivery to the addresses of your choice on your wedding day,
