The Kitchen Oscars 2024

Scrubbed, ironed, brushed, and polished – The Lloyd faction all set for a great night at the Catering Insight Awards 2024.
We are delighted to have been shortlisted along with four others for the Distributor of the North Award, fingers crossed for that. But regardless of the result nothing will dilute our high spirits as we celebrate what has been a fantastic year (save Rachel Reeves early Christmas present 🤬) and enjoy what is sure to be great food, great company, a fun event and then let loose in the near legendary afterparty.

Pumpkin Pageant…

Members of the Lloyd’s team have sharpened chisels, let loose their creative spirit and inner ghoulishness for our Halloween Pumpkin Challenge.

We have been presented with these fiendish masterpieces. Whilst a difficult one to call, ultimately, we decided on 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Congratulations to our prize winners - Colette Brown, Joe Shaw and Emma Brogan.

Thanks to everyone that participated, a really great effort by all.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to come and join us.

As the successful candidate you will receive a tremendous level of support from all within our company and day-to-day back up from highly experienced and professional internal projects and design teams. The position offers a competitive remuneration package and comes with a generous and flexible car allowance which can be tailored to a self-financing arrangement or supplied as a company car.

You will be responsible for progressing contracts from point of sale through to handover, overseeing the installation onsite and liaising with site contractors and teams within the business. Reporting to the Projects Director you'll take ownership of the projects you have been allocated, ensuring all costs are within budgets and clients expectations are met.

We are delighted to welcome five new members to the company’s Service and Installation Department.

Experienced engineers, Will Wardle and Ian Taylor have joined the team. Will and Ian both have a customer focused work ethic and a wealth of knowledge which aligns perfectly with our core principles. Their help as we continue to expand and grow will be greatly appreciated.

Joining our apprentice scheme, Tom Briggs, Will Mortimer and Cian Hadfield are starting their career journey with Lloyd’s. Once qualified they will have acquired a valuable skillset consistently in high demand. In the meantime, they will be partnered one on one with our highly skilled engineers who will act as mentors, pass on knowledge and provide an invaluable insight into the role.

Really pleased to have these guys onboard and we wish them all the very best.

Today marks the end of an era as Andy Gee our Service Director retires after being with the company for 30 years. During his time at Lloyd’s Andy has built from scratch a highly efficient Service Department with an extremely proficient team of engineers and call handlers. In addition, Andy has overseen our Warehouse and Transport Department. His dedication, loyalty, and commitment to go that extra mile to ensure a quality experience for our customers has played a large part in our continued growth and the success we have enjoyed as a business over the years.

Andy will be missed by all at Lloyd’s and many within the industry as will his savage sense of humour.

We wish Andy all the very best as he starts a new chapter, one devoid of thermostats, response times and first-time fix ratio.

The Camellia House tearoom was the first project we completed as part of the overall Wentworth Woodhouse refurbishment. We designed and installed a small kitchen and servery counter for the Grade II* listed glasshouse. Formerly Lady Rockingham’s Tea Room, the building not long since derelict has undergone an extensive yet sympathetic restoration that has brought about its former glory. The Camellia House will open its doors on the 2nd April.
