✨Burges Chapel✨

A small private chapel located in the original Georgian wing of the house, this small chapel was inspired by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and was designed by William Burges for the 3rd Marquess in 1873.

The Burges Chapel is the perfect location for an elopement ceremony, vow renewal or it offers a quiet space to sign your marriage certificate. The highly decorated alter along with mirrored floor provides a unique photo opportunity that you won't find anywhere else!

Tony, our Head of House, told us that his favourite part of an event at Mount Stuart is watching the house transform from a visitor attraction to become the backdrop for weddings and events.

The Marble Hall offers an awe inspiring space for your evening reception, guests will be surrounded by over 20 types of marble, intricate floral carvings and the twinkling stars of the night sky above them.

✨Real Wedding - Claire & Tony✨

2 years ago we welcomed the lovely Claire & Tony, along with their immediate family, to celebrate their winter elopement at Mount Stuart. Claire & Tony chose to hold their ceremony within the Drawing Room infront of the magnificent marble fireplace, followed by a detailed guided tour of the house then finished off with an intimate, cosy dinner.
