Your wedding is in 15 Months that will be: June 2022
What must you do now to start planning?

Month 1) Sit down together, with a nice drink and consider who should be on your guest list.

Start with who you want to be there before giving it to your parents to add who they would like.

I suggest you use a Spreadsheet for this, so we can add columns later.

Let me know how you get on.

Warwickshire Registration Service as at 1 July Ceremonies update:

In line with the Government's latest public health advice issued on Monday 23 June and subsequent guidance from the General Register Office we are now able to proceed with ceremonies in July.

Whilst ceremonies are permitted to resume it is important to remember we are still amid a pandemic, things can change suddenly and unfortunately, your special day is unlikely to be how you envisaged it to be. Although the Government stated up to 30 guests, please note social distancing is still in force and therefore the number of guests will be restricted.

Please read our latest guidance below. Should you decide you would prefer to cancel or postpone your ceremony to a later date please contact us. Our teams are contacting all couples who have ceremonies planned for the coming weeks and months to advise them of these restrictions:

· Prior to their ceremony the couple will need to email the registration office a list of names, telephone numbers and addresses of guests
· Couple and guests to arrive at the time of their ceremony
· All persons to be asked if they have any symptoms of Covid-19
· All persons will be asked to use hand sanitiser when they enter and exit the building
· The couple and guests can wear masks if they wish but the couple will need to show the registration staff their faces before the ceremony can begin
· There must be a 2-metre distance between all persons at all times.
· Flowers to be held by the couple only and cannot be placed on a table
· The couple cannot be escorted down the aisle, but we can include the giving away question 'who gives this person to be married?'
· Ceremony content will be made shorter than usual
· Rings to be kept with the couple and they cannot be offered by a guest or the registrar
· Music will be provided and operated by the office
· A photographer, either professional or nominated, is permitted but they are included in the total number of attendees and they must stand in the guest area at a 2-metre distance from anyone else
· We cannot allow group photographs or a traditional photograph of the signing of the register
· Children can attend but they must be supervised by an adult
· There will be no toilet facilities at any site
· The couple will receive one marriage certificate on the day

In addition to the above restrictions to meet the social distancing requirements we have significantly reduced the occupancy figures in our registration office ceremony rooms:

The Riversley Suite, Nuneaton - 12 persons
The Bloxam Room, Rugby - 12 persons
The Henley Room, Stratford - 6 persons
Pageant House, Warwick - 12 persons

This figure includes the couple and two registrars.

For ceremonies at licensed venues, please speak directly to your wedding co-ordinator about the impact of these restrictions on your ceremony.

Best wishes
Warwickshire Registration Service Team

We all love a bit of colour, I think these blue glasses go well with white and pink. The table seems to look alive somehow.

Its all part of the fun of planning whether you look for ideas online, via Pinterest or in magazines.

Why not start a mood board and play with your colours, use blue/white tack to stick on the pics so you can move them around a little.

04/07/2020

Now that things are starting to open up again, please take care and do not go mad, we want you well for your wedding.
Take care of yourself and your family.

Ask Avril - Wedding Planning Service

Avril has been organising and supporting people for many years, organising events for business people and privately too. Ask Avril is a VA business which supports people, to get them organised, plan their personal and private lives and is now taking this one step further to help those who are planning a wedding, renewal of vowels or civil ceremony.

Planning a wedding takes a lot of organisation and there are many things to put in place for that special day that each bride wants to be perfect. Although I cannot control the weather on the day, I can ensure that we have got everything in place, following the planning steps and ensuring we are within budget. The brides I support have already got a busy work life and would rather choose from a few suggested venues, photographers, outfitters etc that fit their requirements then having to sit and trawl through a massive amount of information available on the internet, trudging around shops to find the outfits this is what Ask Avril can help with.

Think of me as your own Wedding PA - The one who will get all the wedding party started so that you can finish with walking down the isle and arriving in style, calm cool and collective.

Congratulations on your engagement I wish you love, health and happiness.
