We are exploring an alternative ticket provider, with lower booking fees.

I want someone to test the alternative ticketing system and give me some feedback on the ease of use, the overall look of the page and whether the tickets are easy to differentiate between the morning and afternoon sessions.

If you are interested in booking for SUNDAY 21st JULY (not the Father`s Day sessions) I have created a test event with ten available tickets per session. Please book through the enclosed link.

This is for the July public running sessions and not the June ones.

Feedback can be by response to this message or to [email protected]

Have you seen the weather forecast for Sunday 19th May? The BBC recommends bringing a coat in case of showers.

The Met Office forecast is for unsettled weather.

The weather app on my phone shows a small chance of rain with reasonable temperatures.

We have experienced a lot of rain recently and the car parking field is still very muddy from the Christmas special weekend.

I do not know if the parking field will dry up before the first Public Running day of the year (April 21st). April is known for it`s "showers," so it is unlikely to be a dry month.

When the tickets for 21st April do go on sale, they will be initially restricted to 100 tickets each session (11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm).

In mid April, I will review the situation and release up to 100 extra tickets per session.

I`m sorry to have to do this. It`s preferential to reduce the numbers, rather than have to push or pull a number of cars out of a muddy field

Keep on funking.

During the winter, the railway is busy with repairs and upgrades. One project this winter is to replace this bridge.

Where is the boarder between the West Midlands and the East Midlands?

Rugby is certainly east of the mid point of England.

The BBC news website puts Rugby in the West Midlands and Leicester in the East Midlands.

I suspect the Lutterworth and even Crick may be seen as in the East.

So where is the boarder?
