Yesterday the Rugby Borough U10 Diamonds headed to St George’s park for the ⚽️ The girls progressed through the group stages and were eventual winners of the Plate Cup 🏆

The Tournament was filled with competitive teams, including,

The Diamonds Coaches said “Football is about smiles and my girls had the best day from start to end. It’s always nice to take home a trophy but the experience for us was way more important and we got to see some incredible players and coaches we have become friends with over the summer. Tournament season is coming to an end and this was a fitting way to bring down what has been a great summer.”

And finally the U14’s played their first 11-a-side pre-season friendly V ⚽️ The pitch looked huge, but not as big as the goals 😱 The girls will be pleased when their goalkeeper returns from her holiday 🤣

Next up were our fantastic U10 Lionesses who played a friendly against in the glorious sunshine ☀️ a tough game in the heat and with only 6 players, but the girls gave it their all and came away happy ⚽️🧡

Lots of friendlies were played at the Nationwide Arena this morning 🧡 Firstly we have our brand new U8’s for the 24/25 season, who played their very first game, in a friendly versus . It was so lovely to watch the pure joy on all the girls faces 😁⚽️

Rugby Borough Lionesses finishing 2nd in their group and winning their final 2-0 against the boys at the Hillmorton Tournament 👏🏼🧡

Rugby Borough Lionesses and Rugby Borough Diamonds entered the Daventry 6aside tournament today.

Both teams made the final. This week the Diamonds went on to win the trophy.

It was lovely having our camps next to each other, all the girls playing with each other and supporting each other all day.

We are back at Kilsby Lane for Day 2 of the Rugby Borough Women & Girls Football Club Tournament ⚽️
Some of the girls will be round again today collecting donations towards a Defib for the new Astro pitch, please dig deep for this worthy cause 🧡

It is so nice to see the growth in female football , here at Rugby Borough we offer fantastic facilities. Clubhouse is always open including match days. The girls ranging from Wildcats to U14s (next season) train every Friday night 6-7.30pm with the exception of wildcats til 7pm. Rugby Borough Women and Girls FC

Rugby Borough Women and Girls FC has been formed to cope with the extra demand of women and girls football being played in the area. We have an all elected, all female Committee with a new vision, truly creating a unique female voice for women’s football, to develop and grow the game from a female perspective.

A rapidly expanding game and club that is only going to grow in the future with the demand of girls and women looking to play football. Helped by the 2019 Women’s World Cup and Lionesses in the media, plus the FAWSL too.

Our main aim at Rugby Borough Women and Girls FC is to ensure that we provide a fun, positive and safe environment for girls to experience the great game of football. Our volunteers, coaches and club officials are positive role models and display high moral and ethical standards which benefit the girls development significantly whilst training and playing. The aim is to ultimately bring a high class competitive standard of women’s and girls football to Rugby for most age groups but to also ensure that anyone irrespective of age or ability has the opportunity to play football and have FUN! Something which our new FA approved SSE Wildcats centre does.

Our home is a superb £2.5 million football facility on the outskirts of Rugby, training on a new synthetic floodlit 3G astro-turf and matches played on one of our 16 grass pitches. We are an FA Charter Standard Community Club, the pinnacle of club development and an achievement we are very proud of, our goal is to continue working hard to maintain this level in the future.
