We love Alpaca Wednesday!
We know how amazing it is to spend time with Alpacas and it’s a joy and privilege to get to share them with the students at a school who recognise how fabulous animals are and the many benefits they bring to people 🦙🥰🦙

Alpaca Wednesday is back! It was great to see so many of our students work with the alpacas this afternoon!

Something people always ask is do the Alpacas get along with dogs?
The answer is yes they do, but they need to be dogs they know and are used to. Any others are treated as threat and avoided.
This morning I caught this interaction between our terrier pup Todd and some of the female herd and cria 🥰🦙🐾 Worth noting Drew the collie keeping a watchful eye in the bottom left 🐾

We had some GREAT interaction with children at Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Coventry during their reunion fun day today!! Shout out to Poppy who got very excited bless her!! Sam kindly let Dante model his very cool hat!! The boys were rocks today! So still for cuddles…..they know when it’s important to be steady! Lots of carrots too, even from Jaime from Ice Dream!
Had to make a stop in Cov at the Pets at Home. Thanks to staff for letting the boys hang out!

What a lovely visit just going casually around the room meeting and chatting to everyone (and getting lots of carrots!) The boys were perfection with many comments of how calm they were!

A very busy day on Saturday! The Griffin Primary School hosted a family fun day organised by TT Country Events. Lots of children having a great time and the boys checking out the bar???? Think Simon Ward, Mayor of Rugby might have had something to do with that??🤣🤣
Preacher The Storyteller was at his energetic best entertaining us all!!!
And bride and groom alpacas were too cute at the wedding at Bromwich Hall Gardens. The boys thoroughly enjoyed being walked around that venue!! Very beautiful!

Congratulations to Chloe & Dan not only on their marriage but also for the amazing children at their wedding!! These young lads were well spoken ( no foul language) and very polite, had eye contact when talking with us, helped with the smaller children and spent quite a lot of time with the pacs being very respectful of them and us!
A lovely afternoon with wonderful people but hats off to these amazing boys!

Joyce had a special place in her heart for Dante so her 3 sisters spent time with the boys to celebrate and remember her, enjoying what their sister loved about alpacas! Listening to 3 ladies laugh and carry on with the boys was absolutely beautiful!
Happy Birthday Joyce, we all miss you so much. 🥰

Last week saw us visit Pindar Specialist Nursery

The boys behaved impeccably even having their toes touched by inquisitive hands. We are so lucky to have such special animals to share with everyone.

We get to meet so many great people when we’re out and about with the pacs!!😁😁
RNLI fundraiser today in Wyken with AMAZING support from Harley who looked after Dante for us!! (Thanks Harley!!!)
Spud Me Up 🥔 very kindly allowed the boys up to their window for some treats! Shame we didn’t have time to enjoy a spud!! Stopped at a few stands and the donut van!! The boys are soooo nosy they had loads to look at today!

Great fun dodging the rain for today’s visits……NOT! 🤣 🤣
The busy Elite Video Productions took a few minutes to meet the boys, we did manage some walks with the kids and we think the wedding car would look great with alpacas sticking their heads out of the windows! 🤣🤣
At least Cawston Guides had a dry visit with Toby and Julio intrigued by the camping ground we went to and behaving impeccably!! The girls were all amazing and looked liked they had fun!! 😁👍👍
(Brave girls too being in tents for those two horrendous cracks of thunder last night!!!!)

Thanks for inviting us and thanks to Ruby for arranging the visit!

After an idea from Our Lead Student Wellbeing Ambassador Ruby, we organised a visit from Alpacas to meet Sixth Form Students, as well as students from our Reconnection Hub.

Dante, Finan and Caygan were welcomed and it was great to see so many students enjoy the experience.
We will definitely be organising this again for other students.
