After all these years and literally thousands of shows It's still always so nice to receive such positive feedback! Paul Daniels told me that reviewers and critics are paid hecklers and that the only opinions that matter are those of your audience, so make sure to listen to them. He was right(he always was, haha!)

Magic is such a fun and exciting way to entertain you and your guests at any event, no matter your age!

I've got limited availability, but I am taking on a handful of engagements for close-up Magic at events or my sit down show "Honest Deceptions" which is perfect for dinner parties, cocktail parties and small gatherings.

What a busy weekend!

Had a great time entertaining at the fabulous Albert Cottage - Hotel, Restaurant & Bar for a whole host of island business rasing money for Mountbatten Isle of Wight Alongside Shuffles Events who provided the rest of the evenings entertainment! Including their LED Casino tables! Was a great night for a great cause!

Bit of a late post but just wanted to show some love to the party goers I entertained this weekend. The fine folk from Wight Knuckle Brewery Ltd. Were celebrating a double birthday and asked me to come and blow some minds! We had a great time! They were a great crowd and loads of fun. I got to try their signature Beer aswell and can highly recommend it!

And secondly to everyone I met at the fabulous Frampton's Bar in Bembridge. It was the first time I had been there and it was awesome! Can't wait to go for a Negroni or two! Great people celebrating another birthday in a lovely, intimate bar. The perfect setting for close up Magic!

I was looking through some photos from my dear chum SJ Jones Photography from a wedding we both worked at. Its always important as a performer to have great photos of yourself but what I love most about Steve's work is that he understands that the real Magic of having me perform at your event isn't about me at all! It's about you and your guests having a magical moment, They get to laugh, be amazed, have fun, and take a step into the abstract where the impossible is possible. I have the fun job of being able to make that happen!

Magic has so much more to offer you and your guests than just an amusing way to pass the time.

8 years ago today, the world of Magic lost a genius, and I lost my teacher, my mentor, and my friend, "Mr Saturday night," Paul Daniels. I first met Paul when I was 16, and I was cast in a short film called Magic Dwight. In between shooting the short film, I would kill time on set practising card Magic and reading a book that, as it turned out, was written by a friend and mentor of Paul's so we would talk and he would perform things from the book as well as explaining to me his ways of performing certain effects(Magic tricks) from the book. The filming that was scheduled to take a week, went on over the course of several months, and in that time, Paul would help me work on my Magic and presentation, jokes, pretty much everything that goes into being a professional Magician. We stayed in touch from that point on, and he continued to help me grow as a performer. He wasn't at all how he was presented by the media. He was kind and courteous to fans, If they stopped him in the street, he would happily show them Magic and joke around and always left people happier than when he found them. He was funny and generous and is sorely missed.

Here are a few snaps from my other wedding gig this weekend at the wonderfully gothic looking New Place Hotel in southampton. I couldn't take many pics but I managed to get this cool one of the outside! It looks like the addams family house! And I also had perhaps the nicest dressing room ever! What a fun time doing some close up Magic and comedy cabaret! I made the bride laugh so much that champagne came out of her nose 👃 🍾 🤧 I'm proud of that!

Come along to a personal favourite of mine, The Lakes Rookley Holiday Resort
I LOVE visiting this venue. I have done Magic at weddings there, performed on the stage for holiday makers quite a lot over the years but back in the 90s when I was a kid, The first Magician I ever saw live was at this venue! His name was Steve Meredith he and his assistants, Jake and Miranda, used to breathe fire, Juggle, and do big Illusions in the exact spot you can find me tomorrow for the wedding fayre! I won't be breathing any fire (The Ace Of Cades will be though!)

But I will be doing some Magic at the Shuffles Events stand, and I'll be on hand to talk about entertainment for your big day! Come and say hello!

I had such a blast today making a guest appearance on my fellow Carny, Sideshow spectacle and road warrior Nick Painless and Josh's radio show on Vectis Radio this afternoon! It was an absolute pleasure to sit down with the guys and chat magic, circus, what I'm up to with Shuffles Events and the year ahead! Huge love and respect to Nick and Josh. They have asked me back to perform some magic over the airwaves, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

It's Flashback Friday!
Here's one from the Vaults! A promo picture from 2012/2013 of Lamont and Hughes. The Bouffant Boy Wonder and the Tattooed Trickster!

"Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it's Lamont & Hughes and their dancing shoes!"

We had no dancing shoes. I did have hair(just about)! and a goatee.

We had a bag of tricks, surrealist jokes, an assistant named Katzenfelder, and sharp suits!

We performed our act at cabaret clubs, comedy clubs, and hotels in Blackpool, Brighton, London, and beyond. I must have been 25 or so when this was taken,

We made it, everyone! The seemingly never-ending month of January is over! One month into 2024 down already and one month closer to some of the glorious Isle of wight summertime!

I LOVE summer, I'm solar powered! But you don't have to wait until then to get in touch about your summer events or parties! The sooner, the better as it's a very busy time! I had such a good time today at the wedding fayre. I met so many couples who are Magic fans and were keen to see how having me come and perform can add to the mood, fun, and atmosphere of their weddings!

Also, I got to speak with some of my favourite wedding suppliers, including the incredible , who did this bang on caricature of me! I would go as far as to say that the picture is better looking than I am in real life 🤣

Thanks to all who stopped by and saw some magic, laughed at my jokes and to the woman who was so amazed she loudly said, "How the f% #* did you do that?!" Before covering her mouth in horror! 🙊

What a great night! I had such a good time doing some Magic, causing some Mischief and Mayhem at Ryde Castle Hotel for Ryde 16 Round Table fabulous great gatsby themed Charity fundraiser! Everyone was great fun and the event raised a lot of money for a great cause!

The summer season is officially winding down and I'm looking forward to Halloween, Christmas, NYE and beyond!

I have had a great time this summer! Circus shows at Robin Hill with the fabulously daring Point-Blank Danger Show hosting the islands biggest family party Summerfest at Blackgang Chine- Land of Imagination, Magic shows for Parkdean Resorts, Workshops for kids and families and NHS workers to get them out of their offices for a while, help them unwind and learn new skills. Photobooths and casinos with my company Shuffles Events for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and just about everything in between!

THANK YOU to every individual and business I worked with this summer and of course all the people who came to see the shows!

Had the best time performing for holiday Park! Madcap Magic, Circus Chaos,lots of laughs and some slapstick! What a day! I also particularly enjoy that my whole show fits in these two bags. I feel like a wandering Troubador! Years of travelling around with shows teaches you how to pack light!

A lot of people have been asking me whether or not my prices for Magic will be going up now that we are in the new year. That's a good question as even things like milk have gone up in price.

HOWEVER Magic is not something a Magician should keep for themselves, its not for them. Magic doesn't exist without an audience to enjoy it, Magic should be accessible for everyone, especially in difficult times. So, to reflect that belief, I will be keeping prices for Magic and Magic Shows the same for 2023!

I'm excited about what this year will bring! I have a brand new website coming soon, a social media overhaul and more than a few tricks up my sleeve that I can't wait to show you, as well as a few more twists and turns I'm currently working on but they are a secret for now!🤫
