Imogen wore our Crepe Column dress with graduated reverse curved neckline and 90s inspired square straps that are slightly wider on top of the shoulder.

She opted for a long narrow puddle train to the dress ( optional ) and a concealed zip to fasten it at the back ~ some go for a lowered back and covered buttons with this style.

Imogen styled it with our *new* wide sleeve & wide cuff removable silk organza overtop, with covered buttons to fasten at the back. This piece is ‘made’ to work with the dress underneath, so your guests won’t realise it’s a separate garment until you remove it! She also opted for our large silk organza hair bow ~ divine.

K wore our Column Dress in ( optional ) liquid crepe without a train and instead opted for a super chic rear slit. The bodice features a gentle reverse curve downwards to flatter the strapless element and Katie also chose to add covered buttons to the back.

We’re super exited to plan K’s re-work, is it going to be a mini or a midi … or separates??

S opted for this capped sleeved completely open-back dress with contours and column style skirt with long narrow train.

We also created S a custom birdcage veil & headband, as she didn’t want a traditional veil, but loves a hair band in everyday life ~ so why not wear the elevated version on her big day?? … this piece is now available via our own label accessories line!

The evening chapter ~

- A - wore our column dress in crepe without straps and straightened the darts on the bodice to minimise the bust appearance. She also curved the hemline to enjoy her shoes at the front ( divine Gucci mules ) but maintained a narrow puddle train for ease of movement and a more elegant finish when lifted by the dancing loop.

She paired it with a custom designed double layer silk organza boat neck overtop with elongated tailored sleeves featuring slits to open the sleeve over the hand and prevent bunching at the wrist.

After dinner A removed the over top and added a slimline & single layer feather strap to the dress, then beyond that she removed the straps completed and changed into a Miu Miu ballet slipper.

We loved A’s look so much, that we’ve added the overtop to our collection and there is a sample available to try in our studio. The coveted column dress is also ready to try in 2x sizes to try, accommodating sizes UK 8-16/18.

J wore our Column Dress in ( optional ) satin with a custom 2/3 ruffle sleeve tie back overtop.

She chose to have a narrow puddle train and front slit in the liquid satin skirt section, which is totally optional ~ it does mean you can easily hold the dress up by a super elegant dancing loop at the end of the train.

J fell for the flattering silhouette of the column dress but couldn’t find the exact overtop that she wanted amongst our samples, so we took inspiration from a couple in the showroom and requested the tie back to create an organza bow and beautiful tails.

She also chose our shorter length circle cut tulle veil.

Our collection is entirely made-to-measure, not only because it allows us to prevent wastage and deliver a fantastic fit, but it also means we can adjust and customise pieces to suit each specific bride and their outfit concept.

Appointments are free ( minus a small deposit ), bring up to three guests and we will provide the drinks, including fizz!

C wore our Column Dress in ( optional ) crepe with the wide cuffed sleeve V back overtop, feat. organza bows to fasten.

She chose to have a narrow puddle train in the liquid crepe skirt section, which is totally optional with some brides choosing to have a slit instead.

C came to us just 11 weeks before her wedding date as she wasn’t happy with the original dress she had chosen. We managed to squeeze her in to our schedule and she was the first ever bride to wear this new organza overtop shape! Whilst we ask for 6-8 months ( or more ) to reserve the make time with us, we can accommodate shorter windows, just reach out with your wedding date and we will let you know whether it will be possible.

Our collection is entirely made-to-measure, not only because it allows us to prevent wastage and deliver a fantastic fit, but it also means we can adjust and customise pieces to suit each specific bride and their outfit concept.

Appointments are free ( minus a small deposit ), bring up to three guests and we will provide the drinks, including fizz!

K wore one of our ex studio samples with an A line satin skirt and glorious elongated train, draped off shoulder bodice section & semi tailored sleeve.

The back of the top is slightly dipped, made possible by the ‘Low back plunge strapless’ fitted by our sister stores over and paired with the ‘High invisible control short’ for a completely seamless finish.

Whilst this dress is no longer available, we do offer a similar aesthetic via our own label collection. Keep an eye on our socials for real bride projects incorporating draped & A line satin aspects.

We also utilised buttons from her granny’s former factory in Asia to the fasten the back of the bodice, which was such a lovely meaningful detail.

She finished the look with our cape length short tulle veil.

W L C M … // to our safe space, situated along the High Street in the lovely market town of Saffron Walden. Just 20 mins by car from Cambridge and 50 minutes by train from London, we’ve welcomed brides from all over the UK and beyond ~ our first ever own label wedding was in California.

DSCVR our own label and now main collection, which offers a 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆-𝒕𝒐-𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 make process as standard. This means you can much more easily make adaptions to our collection pieces e.g. swap a sleeve, lower a back, add a slit or create a custom organza jacket ( we’re working on some super exciting projects right now! ) …

There are NO alterations charged with m-t-m and you get to see a dummy / mock up of the concept before it is made in the final fabrics, to allow for visualisation and tweaks. Typically we need at least 6 months to secure the make time and fabrics, but we would really recommend 9-12. We have a limit to the number of brides we can work with per month ( wedding date wise ). August & September ‘25 are almost full, already.

Overall, we’d say that giving as much time as you can to land on your dress or outfit, makes the experience more enjoyable for you. There’s not as much pressure and you can style the rest of your day with the outfit in mind. That doesn’t mean you ‘have’ to visit a million stores and try every single wedding dress silhouette out there. It’s just with less pressure, it is much easier to trust your instincts.

Our space is subtly lit with a soft sofa and silk rug for both you and your ( up to x3 ) guests to enjoy ~ we can make teas, coffees, soft drinks and also provide fizz for first time bookings.

And the first / main look ~ a square neck bias satin slip w. spaghetti straps as base ( our scoop neck bias slip re-worked ) and collared silk organza overdress from the Originals collection …

Later she removed the overdress and we adapted the bow at the back so that it could be transferred to a comb and used as an oversized hair bow.

Bias cut dresses are super flattering as they follow and celebrate the line of your figure. This wedding slip is created from luxe heavy liquid satin and is double lined, so a completely different feel and finish to a bias cut slip you might pick up on the high street / off the peg. Hence N being able to wear it as a standalone evening dress.

Lightweight yet super striking volume is created via the semi sheer overdress - an absolute showstopper.

( cannot wait to adapt these pieces for future wear )
