We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Twilight Open Evening here at The Park on Saturday 28th September between 5-8.30pm.

Come and see the beautiful yurt from Funky Monkey Tents and tipi from Tipis4hire, fully dressed and lit by the brilliant .

It's the perfect opportunity to come and meet us, and some of our fantastic suppliers while being able to view the venue as it could look for your event.

After the horrific rain overnight we have made the difficult decision to cancel our open day due to the fact our field is flooded.

This is not a decision we have made lightly and can only apologise to all those affected. We will be rescheduling for another date later in the year.

I’m Liz and I own and run (circa 2019) based in Cambridge. We are a bespoke catering company serving a range of lovely customers. I personally, have been working in the hospitality industry for the last 26 years. Originally from New Zealand, I trained and worked in fine dining restaurants in Sydney which then lead me to move to private super yachts and finally on to owning several businesses.

The Modern Table believes that food is the perfect way to bring people together and celebrate, and your celebration is no exception. It has to be fresh, and we love working with in-season, local produce. I personally, always work with my couples to plan and design custom menus which vary from canapés, plated starters, mains, and dessert, bowl food or sharing platters for family-style dining. Whatever your dream, we are ready to make it a reality, and because of the bespoke way we work, no two menus will ever be the same, meaning you and your guests will have a personal approach and tailor made taste experience to remember!
We can provide everything from full planning and bespoke menu creation, to advice on table planning and drinks, as well as service on the day, where we also work with a wider team of wonderful, trusted professionals for larger events.
