Today is summer solstice, and that means 18.5 hours of daylight here in Orkney 🌞

It hasn't been the brightest day so far, unfortunately, so our grand plans of stunning sunrise footage came to nothing 😔

But we did manage to capture a shot of St Magnus Cathedral in some solstice sunshine this morning 💛

Evening - thank you to all those enquiring about our opening hours for February - we are remaining with the Fridays to Sundays just noo, and aiming to open Thursdays to Sundays for March... and hopefully adding days as restrictions ease and things for the hospitality industry looks a bit brighter! As always we would like to thank all our wonderful customers for all your support over the years but particularly the last two - as you can imagine they have been full of some worrying times for us all but fingers crossed for a safer and more sociable year! #2022
