Trek update! So far we have walked 95km, in the 45 degree heat it’s been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but also so rewarding👣

Tommorow we are finishing the trek with a 5km sunrise walk and then it’s complete and the long journey back to Manchester will start. An adventure of a lifetime🇰🇭

Updates from the last few days as I finally have phone signal!

The last few days have been spent in a local Cambodian community, meeting families and learning the culture. We have helped to build and construct eco bungalows, today we have been cooking at the hospitality training school👨‍🍳

There is a excessive heat warning here at the moment and it’s been 40-45 degrees every day🥵 tonight the 100km trek starts! We are starting the trek at 3am to avoid the heat👣

Cambodia Day 1!🇰🇭

Flight 1: London to Singapore
Flight 2: Singapore to Cambodia✈️

Today the journey to Cambodia starts, I have met the team. Currently on the first 12 hour flight to Singapore, I’m hoping to give daily updates (signal dependant) to keep you updated on our progress🚶🏼

I just wanted to thank everyone again for the support, it’s been overwhelming and it really means a lot. I am proud to say I reached my fundraising target of £3,500 thanks to the help of you all💙 this will make a huge difference to Springboard charity.

I have talked the talk so now I just need to walk the walk! (Literally) Let’s go!!🇰🇭

Last night we hosted a charity quiz night to help me on the final stretch of my fundraising target, just over a month to go until my 100KM Cambodian trek!

What a night we had, the support was overwhelming. I can’t thank everyone enough for coming and supporting me and for helping such a great charity🧡

Hi, I have made a decision to step outside my comfort zone by doing a 100k trek in Cambodia, raising money for a charity called springboard. This is a charity which supports people in finding employment in the hospitality sector, I have worked in hospitality all my life so it is my time to give something back.
So to kick off my fund raising pot I will be doing Halloween pies with all profits going to Springboard.
