Really enjoyed sharing "My Life
as a Celebrant" with Adlington Ladies' Guild last night.

And hopefully they did too!

After a difficult year personally, preparing this account of my career as a humanist celebrant was exactly the reset l needed.

And in a very fitting place...as a child, l was taken to Adlington Library every fortnight to get new books. I was delighted to recognise some of the fixtures and fittings hadn't changed!

And even more delighted to hear that the library is currently celebrating 10 years since the community rallied round to save it from closure. So much going on there!

So so proud of ! His directorial debut at the RSC ( Arturo Ui starring ) was absolutely mind-blowingly fantastic! Brechtian "tickle and slap" at its most effective.
So satisfying to see one of my most talented students doing so well. Must have done at least something right in my 30+ years as a Drama teacher...
Seriously, though...this play has COLOUR, ENERGY and quite frankly THE PERFECT RESONANCE for our troubled times. I strongly, strongly you get yourself down to Stratford before the end of the run!
