2023 Where do I begin? What a rollercoaster. As always I’ll be completely honest with you. I almost gave up. There, I said it 😅 In March I gave my notice to my landlords and the plan was to find a studio to move the business to. Don’t get me wrong, I love my shop, but when it is quiet for such a long period of time it can be a tough place to be and financially scary when the money just isn’t coming in and the profit margins are squeezed with all of our costs spiralling. SPOILER ALERT, in July I picked up my toys that I had thrown from my pram and decided to stay on at Ashfield Rd. I’d taken a holiday, cleared the brain fog and decided to fight for what I have worked so hard for over the past 14 years. So here we are, still fighting for survival. As the well known war poster states WE NEED YOU 🫵🏻 We have lost two flower shops from M33 this year, it is incredibly hard for small businesses so if you are in a position to use us, please do 🤍 Big plans are coming for 2024 including Bridal packages, new gorgeous suppliers for the shop, more workshops, we have already planned out Valentines Day and Mothering Sunday and I am excited to see what we can achieve in the next 12 months. If you have made it this far, thank you for reading, thank you for understanding, thank you for your banter in the shop (it’s what we live for!) thank you for your loyalty and support, thank you for asking how we are, thank you for attending our workshops and for grabbing our Friday Deals each week! We do have a lot to be thankful for and I count myself very lucky to have the best Diddi Fans and the best team behind me, and we wish you all the very best for 2024.
