And that’s it, we are wrapped from Boardmasters 2024! This was a mega show for us, designing and building 3 new stages, a new Keg and Pasty Pub, as well as a new logo for the main stage, theming and dressing all areas of the site and not forgetting re-installing our sustainable signage created in 2022 and still looking beaut!
I can’t thank the DECORDIA crew enough for being a total dream team.

Looking back at chillier times when we transformed Cathedral Gardens into a bespoke Ice Village for Hamilton Ice Sculptors. ❄️

From festive elements to on-brand signage, we created their Ice Cavern Ice Tiki Bar bringing their wintry brief to life.

After the transformation of their secret garden area in 2020, we headed back to Bodega bar in Nottingham to give their inside decor the same DECORDIA treatment, bringing a full makeover to the bar and even giving our existing secret garden decor a refresh for the upcoming beer garden season.

As the first design was focused on people being able to socialise in their bubbles during the pandemic, we gave the space a repaint and installed new bespoke furniture in the garden, made by Crafthouse Creations.

Our branded pillars have made an outing at many events over the years. These are interchangeable between shows, and simple to rebrand year on year!

In 2023 we joined ISLA, the growing network of businesses sharing their sustainability journey. ISLA provide practical guidance and support on environmental issues drawing on expertise from across the sector to create a powerful network with the knowledge and confidence to facilitate change.

We're six months into our membership and we're already benefiting from bringing suppliers and freelancers together to really understand the difference that we can make if we can all work together. Our next step is to upload our events to their carbon measurement platform and drive our ambition to be more sustainable.

We invited our freelancers and suppliers Crafthouse and A&E Adventures to the training session so we're all learning new ways to do better together. All learning how to support DECORDIA's ongoing strides to be more a sustainable option for clients. 🌍💙

HIRING: FREELANCE FESTIVAL ADMIN CO-ORDINATOR

We’re looking for a freelancer with a love of all things festivals & events to join our DECORDIA team this summer, Manchester based, working closely with us on our upcoming festival season, as we deliver decor transformations to some of our biggest greenfield sites. We need someone with great organisational skills who can co-ordinate all essential admin ahead of going on site as well as with us onsite at the festivals.

Last year we had the chance to design and create VIP and artist areas at Parklife, Muse at Milton Keynes Bowl, Arctic Monkeys at Hillsborough Stadium and Noel Gallagher at Wythenshawe Park.

Through rain and sunshine, stretch tents, decor details and picnic benches created a chilled outdoor vibe for those with big tour parties and busy tour schedules.

Testing, testing, 1,2,3 testing...

Ahead of the summer season, we've been product testing some new materials and paints that are more sustainable and eco-friendly before we crack onto creating full designs for some exciting brands in the coming months. We're ready to use them on any new décor or refurbishment we carry out from now on.

In 2023 we joined GMAST to work with businesses and sustainability pioneers in Manchester.

It's been great to join a network of arts and cultural organisations who align with our values to do better for people and planet, and we can't wait to share more knowledge between us all on how we can drive change in our industry going forward. We understand the environmental impact of events, so planning with sustainability in mind is at the heart of DECORDIA.

DECORDIA joined up with Lancashire Wildlife Trust to support their Lancashire Peatland Initiative Project in 2023 and became silver corporate members of the trust. We've just renewed this membership for another year.

This support allows them to work on our doorstep to create and connect habitats, giving wildlife a chance to thrive and protecting wild spaces for people to enjoy. We also regurally enjoy volunteering days with them, look out for photos of our Director Cordi in a peat bog!

Looking back at a wonderful weekend in August 2023, bringing the brand to life for Connect festival in Edinburgh. We fabricated the entrance pillars, built a new 'busk stop', dressed the stages and decorated the whole site!

We're sad it's not coming back in 2024, but loved working at the Royal Highland Centre and with the lovely team at DF Concerts for the past 2 years!

ATLANTIS GOLF COURSE. The underwater golf course designed and realised by Decordia and Walk the Plank at the Sunderland Bowl
Complete with rock pools, treasure chest, cave, pirate ship and giant octopus, we loved transforming this space from the existing mini golf game into an underwater world. ⛳ 🌊 🐡 🦀

As we start planning 2024, we've been admiring the Keg and Pasty Pub. A beautiful, cornish style pub that sits overlooking the sea and sunsets at Watergate Bay. This year the pub was brought to life by Kelly Bannister with the Caffle Construction team! 🍺 🌅 We can't wait to be back there, having a pint looking out over the bay!

Here's our favourite builds from PL23!
At Parklife, we design, manage and install the site wide decor for the Main Arena, VIP area and artist backstage areas. Of course, most the set pieces are reimagined each year to reduce our use of raw materials.
