Jess has been so completely laid back and just left it in our hands - perfect

Another little bridal bouquet that popped up for yesterday afternoon. The single flower type bouquets are becoming so popular recently.
The lady brought in the blue flowers and some herbs from her garden to use in the grooms buttonhole as well 🥰 💐

I know I keep saying it but we are well and truly back! We’ve had to do two full flower stand restocks in the past two days!

After nearly not actually getting here last week with all the trouble at Manchester airport and then the return flight being cancelled and us not being able to get on one until 4 days later. We are finally back 🙌🙌

Bit of a long post incoming but...

Did you know that for the first time ever that today is National Florists Day!

Thanks to founder Caroline Marshall-Foster, everyone involved in all aspects of floristry now have a special day to celebrate all their talents and hard work. From growers, wholesalers, suppliers, delivery drivers and all florists to show just how much goes on behind the scenes to create all your gorgeous bouquets every day.

Despite the age old saying “it must be nice to spend all day playing with flowers”

The reality is very different. Being a good florist, and running a successful floristry business, takes years of training, hard graft and can be pretty stressful too. Not only are you dealing with every emotion, but it can be physically demanding too!"

You have to understand buying, pricing, knowing how many of things to order to avoid waste, know (some) Latin, availability, how to cut and condition the stems and colour theory.

But of course, being a florist is also one of the most rewarding careers there is and the fact flowers touch everyone’s life is the reason most florists have made it their profession.

There really is simply no occasion where flowers can’t convey a message; you really can “say it with flowers” every day.

Despite the incredibly challenging times most florists face there is also something magical about working with flowers everyday. 💐🧡

After being asked to do a funeral tribute like this the other week we got asked to do another one! This time in purples and yellows 💜💛
Jules loved Iris’ so it was important to include those and work to that colour scheme

The white ribbon edging really made the colours and letters stand out!

We don’t often do mixed flower funeral letters but we got to do one this week - the colours! 🧡💜

The family requested a wheat sheaf 🌾 in there somewhere as their father was a baker.
