Wells Food Festival returns on Sunday, 13 October to celebrate the high quality products from local and artisan food and drink producers.

Over 200 traders from Somerset and the South West will be showcasing and selling food and drinks, street food and homewares.

English wines will be featured again this year, with the opportunity to talk to the vineyard owners and taste their wines.

The Children’s Zone will have some interactive fun and some kiddie sized street food. Young visitors will also enjoy the Fun Kitchen cookery workshops and the Children’s Trail.

Food for Thought will also be back, with a dedicated area highlighting current, food related, social issues.

The market stalls will be found in the Market Place and Town Hall, on the Bishop’s Palace Green, along the moat and in the recreation ground.

Plus this year, for the first time, the artisan market, with some brand new traders, will extend down the High Street, which will be closed to traffic for the day.

The festival is free to enter and family friendly.

Parking, access and information for Romsey Food Fair - this Sunday ⬇️

❌ Please be aware the town centre roads will be closed from 8am and opening again from 6pm. The Food Fair will start at 10am and finish at 4pm.

🗺️ Grab a map and information from our Romsey & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry stall which is situated next to WH Smiths.

🏠 Access to residents in The Meads will be via Church Lane only.

⚠️ Roadworks update 🚧
Today the Ower to Romsey (A3090) dual carriageway has changed to a contraflow system due to works by Southern Water. It will be in effect until September 6th. This will ultimately be very busy on Sunday with tailbacks.

🚂 Public transport (or walking!) is the best and easiest way to attend the event to guarantee a stress free experience, as parking will be in high demand.

🅿️ In addition to the normal car parks in the town The Cromwell Arms, Romsey have kindly opened their field for you, so please park sensibility in there.

🅿️ Also The Romsey Industrial Estate has also generously offered additional parking. Please only park in the designated areas.

🚑 First aid from UK Emergency Services is located outside Cafe Neros in the Market Place, central Romsey.

🚾 Toilets are available by the bus station with potable toilets located in Church Place near the Abbey and at the bottom of The Hundred outside Footner and Ewing.

It's the brilliant Oak Fair this weekend, Saturday & Sunday, a celebration of countryside, woodcraft, timber and conservation.

It is with great sadness and disappointment that we have taken the very difficult decision to CANCEL the Swanage Fish & Food Festival for 15-16 June 2024 due to the very wet & windy weather predictions over the coming days.

Please share this announcement with friend and family far and wide so that we can prevent people making unnecessary trips to Swanage and feeling let down.

We are totally committed to holding a successful and safe festival for all and believe that going ahead this weekend would put this in jeopardy.

We wish to thank everyone who has booked a stall, generously sponsored us, agreeing to be part of the demo chef team, all of our wonderful volunteers, everyone who has promoted us in every medium, all businesses who have dressed a window and donated raffle prizes.
We couldn’t do this without you all and we are so lucky to have you in the fish & food family.
