Did my community service 🤣 today at Whiteparish All Saints CE Primary School .. the children made beautiful tulip posies for their mums. The cost of the tulips was funded by the PTA.
Hope there are lots of happy mummies this evening xx

International Women's Day flowers from a man in Ukraine to his wife staying here in the UK under the scheme. It made me quite emotional delivering these.

Appreciate all the women in your life, be they near or far.

Natural final flowers 🤍

Gentle, soft, seasonal and plastic and foam free.

Shared with kind permission of the family, I like to share funeral flower images to give people ideas of what is possible beyond the formal, stiff arrangements often pictured in catalogues.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported me this Valentine's.

These "peaks" are really important for the survival of small independent florists and if you chose quality and great service from an independent florist today, you know you made the right choice.

The financial climate can make it hard to justify the luxury of buying flowers, but I'm sure there were lots of very happy women (and hopefully men too but I didn't deliver to any) receiving flowers, however big or small the bunch.

Thank you so much to my lovely village of Whiteparish for buying many many gorgeous British grown tulips yesterday!

I sold tulips at a wedding dress showcase in aid of the church's fundraiser and it was SO lovely. I don't sell flowers in person very often and I very much enjoyed seeing eyes light up as they spotted the tulips.

British tulips available to order for Valentine's!

Just think, soon it will be Spring, and the trees will be budding, and the sun will shine, the grass will start to grow and there'll be butterfly ranunculus to put into beautiful bridal bouquets for beautiful brides again.

I do try not to wish away time, but I'm just about DONE with January!

This wild bouquet was designed to complement the stunning grassland surroundings at Chalk.

My Christmas wreath is too good to take down, so I've added some pretty touches to bring it flowers Spring.

I left my pink ribbon, but if you had a very Christmas coloured ribbon you could change that too.

Is your wreath still up?

Blue Monday 🥶

The winter queen of blue flowers is undoubtedly eryngium- the thistle. In the UK she actually features in our late summer gardens, but she is now synonymous with winter arrangements, Christmas wreaths and of course Scotland, known for its often chilly climes.

Love a wreath that evokes the beautiful countryside we live in. With a touch of velvety ribbony luxury.

I wanted to share this to say two thank you's:

1. To Cedars Care Home who hosted us today in their stunning dining room: it was such a gorgeous setting for a workshop. Barchester Healthcare Cedars Care Home - Barchester Healthcare

2. To all my wreath makers so far, for helping with tidying up; it means a lot to me because wreathing is a messy job and many hands make light work and happy hearts.

The wreath spam starts tomorrow! So here's the last of the gorgeous warm autumn pinks.

You may have noticed that I don't use lilies often, but I do like them for a short period of autumn when there are really pretty shades available and they are in season.

I'm sharing this one as a member of the school PTA - I would be very grateful if you could share this as much as you can with friends and family and on social media this week, if you are fairly local to Whiteparish.

Pains Fireworks produce a really outstanding, professional show, and we have the added bonuses of being able to offer toilet facilities and a central village, relatively unmuddy site.

There will be food vans (including Liguori's Wood Fired Pizza Van !!) and mulled wine and hot chocolate.

I've got a lot of favourites, but amaranthus are definitely one of them.

I know Charlie hates them, so perhaps comment below on your amaranthus views (the long traily tails, but they come in an upright form too and different colours).

I love Autumn in all its blustery, ramshackle glory.

This wreath was one I donated for our village's harvest auction, raising money for community shop vouchers that are distributed to those who need them.

I know I bang on about it, but when you support local business you also support your local community, sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly.
