Anything from singers to juggling with jelly. If you think you've got it, or know of anyone else that's got it then let me know at [email protected]
Fee included (though don't go buying that cruise yet).

Difficult to explain these photos unless you were actually there last night. Thank you Jackie Mulligan for taking them.

This week I shall be guesting alongside Ed Byrne, Lily Phillips, Michael Odewale and Phil Nicol at The Comedy Store - London on Wednesday, hopping up to headline Cabaret Saltaire on Friday and then nipping back down to London for The Black Cat Cabaret at Live At Zédel on Saturday night. La Poule is back! (With thanks to Steve Ullathorne for photo.)

It's normally this time of year you'd be right in expecting tickets to go on sale for June's cabaret. However, seeing as one of our key member's of staff has chosen to go for bigger fish (some people are all just self, self, self I repeat self) it has rendered us unable to putting on June's cabaret this year. But all is not lost. In place of the cabaret I've booked us a lovely evening of comedy, music and dancing with this bunch of funny idiots from Leeds who go by the name of Land Of Nod and promise us a night of myrthful sketches, followed with a good bopalong with the Jellied Eels (who some of you may know as a regular band from my Hair Of The Dog Cabaret at the Beatherder Festival).
Tickets are now on sale at the very reasonable price of £11.37 (includes booking fee). For tickets go to

I'm also very pleased to announce that Danny Hardaker's documentary film Cabaret Saltaire: Making My Mother Laugh is now available to view online for free, I repeat for free! As you may know we tried to get this banned under obscenity laws, but once it got on the Internet it just spread like a yeast infection. If you've really nothing better to watch you can go to
https://dannyhardakervideo.co.uk/documentary

Cabaret Saltaire will back on Friday September 16th when we're promised the return of our old favourite Barbara Nice, plus our search for new turns with 'Has Saltaire Got Any Soddin' Talent Whatsobleedinever?' Tickets will go on sale on August 5th. Don't worry, you'll be the first to hear about them.

Yours,

I'm pleased to say myself and all at Cabaret Saltaire managed to survive the sodding pandemic, and I sincerely hope you and yours have too.
The good news is we're hoping to relaunch Cabaret Saltaire on September 17th all being well. Look out for more information on that very soon.

In the meantime here's some incredibly exciting news to share. The Cabaret Saltaire movie is to get its online world premiere on FRIDAY JULY 31st (doors open 7:30pm, film starts at 8:00pm) and all for the measly sum of £4.50 per viewer. This has been 100% self-funded by Danny Hardaker, an amazingly talented young film maker, and he's wanting to recoup his costs in order to pay to enter it in to film festivals, you know.... Cannes, Venice, that kind of thing. He's relying on your generosity and honesty, and I've told him how flush you are when it comes to buying tickets for the Meat Raffle, so don't go showing me up and being a tightarse, if there's more than one of you watching please make an appropriate donation.
The film promises to show how the cabarets are made, interviews with stars and lots of shots of you lot. You'll be relieved to learn that the great unwashed have been cleverly edited out! I'll be tuning in myself if I can warm my valves up in time, and there'll be a live chat included for you to tell him and us what you think.

In other news, whilst hiving himself away from the great unwashed throughout the last sixteen lockdowns our resident speed artist Bishbash Bosch has accidentally gone and revealed himself as the one time has-been turn Mr Steve Huison. Obviously not as good as Banksy at keeping his mouth shut!
He's been busy painting babies and deceased dogs (not in the same painting I'm told) and says if anyone wants one doing from a photo to get in touch with him via [email protected]
They're not my kind of thing to be honest, too cheap. But you might like them. He says he'll do a 10% discount for any Cabaret Saltaire member until September 17th so get in touch with him if you want one doing. See the examples.

He's also running three day courses teaching complete beginners to draw portraits from scratch. The courses are being held in Côte de Robin Hood's Bay (alright for some!). 10% discounts are again also available to valid Cabaret Saltaire members. The next ones are July 16th to 18th and Sep 3rd to 5th. He says there may be accommodation available. Flyer attached.

Right then me 'ol love, plenty to be getting on with there. Hopefully see you in September if not before.

Yours,

Squinty McGinty
