🎄 ELF ON THE SHELF 2024

Slightly earlier than usual but with a busy month coming up, the elves are now here!

We have some new options this year, suitable for various ages with different budgets in mind. Each of the box variations allow you to add your own elf (or purchase one of our stock) this will save time as previously people have dropped elves off at the shop in advance.

All the information on each design is stated above and also on the website store pages. Please read thoroughly before placing an order.

🚨 Collection information: Due to not having a shop front in the town centre, I have arranged to use the room upstairs at 3 Welles Street, CW11 1GT for collections on Saturday 30th November, 8.00am-11.00am. This is the salon next door to the old shop, so it's easy to find and park nearby.

Once you place an order online, we will get in touch to confirm your child's name (for personalised orders) and confirm the order/collection arrangements.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉

Tomorrow marks 4 years since we first launched our services back in the height of the Covid lockdown! Keep an eye out for an exciting competition being released, with 3 prizes up for grabs 🏆

A personal note:

It honestly feels like I've been doing this a lot longer than 4 years! It was forever ago that we started out just doing sleepover teepees and then gradually building up to having a physical shop front and expanding portfolio.

Nothing could have prepared us for what was going to happen, but it was fun and we just naturally expanded the business as opportunities arose, working out what customers want and adjusting to what we do best.

It's no secret that this last year has been hard.....really hard. On a personal level, running a business solo now, it takes its toll. I wake up everyday and ask myself if I should just give it all up, sell the business and get a 9-5 job and live stress-free.

It's really not easy running a business and nothing prepares you for the harsh reality. Closing the shop at the end of the lease this year was a difficult decision to make, but in the long term, it was the most viable option financially. Not only that, but I now have time, which is much more important to me, especially for my health and well being. Working an unhealthy amount of hours and not having downtime is one of the biggest lessons I've come to learn from this whole experience.

But at the end of the day, I believe that as long as you love what you do and it brings you happiness, then it's worth pursuing. I absolutely love being a part of people's special celebrations and milestone occasions, seeing smiles on kids faces when I deliver their balloons or laughing along with the drunken antics of customers when I collect equipment at the end of a night.

I get to meet so many amazing people, whether customers or other small business owners. I am so very grateful to everyone that has helped us out from day one, who has believed in this journey that we started and one that I will continue pursuing into the future for as long as I can.

I don't take any of this for granted and I really appreciate all the support ❤️ Judy x

❌ STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY ❌ I've been saying this for years but decided to now break down some balloon math for you all. When the shop first opened, our bunches were £7.50, then shot up to £9.00. This was due to our supplier changing their supplier, not to mention the impact of supply and demand over Covid-19 lockdown. A few years later, naturally prices have gone up for all supplies but we were fortunate enough to switch our helium provider and have kept costs set at £9.00 for two years now, even though our profit margins are less than before.
