Bunnies bunnies bunnies... always a controversial subject!

"This is cruel rabbits don't like being handled"... the same could apply to every animal involved in our business, all of which are prey animals. But it's always the bunny protectors that stick there nose in where it's not needed.

Just to set the record straight... ANY animal who is not comfortable would not behave the perfect way our animals do in our public appearances.
The bunnies aren't chained up, they could run away from people if they wanted to. Our bunnies sit or quite often SLEEP whilst being petted by adults and children, always supervised by one of us who has the animals best interests at heart.
Our buns aren't picked up by everyone and passed round, they sit in their tray with a comfy blanket and they get stroked within the tray, this is their safe space they feel comfortable in. No harsh training is done to achieve this, they just genuinely trust us and feel comfortable doing what they do.

So thanks for all concerns, but none needed here thank you 😊 some animals (not all) are just born this way and have the magic personality needed for this lifestyle, what better way to live your bunny life than getting out and about seeing the world rather than being cooped up in a back garden and forgotten about.

Of course I can't get a lovely posey picture of both of them as they don't keep still long enough, but here they are 😍

They will be doing some of our visits but they can't visit everyone unfortunately as there's just too many of you, thank you for keeping us busy 🥰 and please remember that they do grow super quickly so they won't be small for long... They're actually already huge 🤣

After a terrible weekend with one very poorly goat, I'm glad to say Monday has been a lot better 💓... 🐐Ronnie has miraculously perked up (please excuse his bad hair style it was done by the vet in an emergency) 🧹Everyone has had their stables spring cleaned 🐣We've had our first lot of chicks hatch including some showgirl chicks which are my fave 🦆One of the ducks has laid her first egg meaning we can soon have baby ducklings And wait for it 🥁 We have chosen TWO BABY GOATS to join the team next month 🥰 Animals bring us the highest of highs but also the lowest of lows especially when they are poorly 💔 hopefully Ronnie will make a full recovery and be back joining in our visits soon so I'll have to get him a little jacket to cover his bald patches 😅

Well done to Custard who did her first indoor care home visit today 🥰 she was amazing! A couple more training visits then we should be able to offer this as another service! Custard spends most of her weekends dressed as a unicorn for children's parties so this was much different to her usual work 🦄 but she says she prefers to do this as she got a tasty biscuit from the tea trolley 😋

My little man is only just 17 months old and helps look after the animals morning noon and night, and has been doing so in all weathers since he was 3 days old 🥰 this is his favourite pony Boris, and his favourite activity cleaning up poop 😂💩 In my opinion it's so important for children to have time outdoors and learn the importance of looking after animals, especially ponies as it's not all about riding them 💙

We often get asked how big the sheep are when they are born... here's a throwback video of Shaun & Teddy when they were just 2 days old and meeting Otis and Freddie for the first time 🥰 I already can't wait for more baby lambs next year 🙊
