New job opportunity available...

We are looking for a new head chef at a small restaurant in Shanklin, that is reopening very soon!

The right candidate needs to have at least at least 1 years previous experience in this role, the ability to lead a small kitchen team and be hardworking and punctual.

To start with, this role will be 20 hours pw over Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until the peak of summer, when hours will increase.

Rate of pay will start at £14ph

The world is full of young hidden talent!

This was cooked by an 11 year old under supervision, in a safe domestic kitchen environment.

He'd been showing an interest in wanting to try out cooking, but was nervous and lacked the confidence. So, with small amounts of direction and lots of encouragement he managed to knock up this steak, sautéed potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, asparagus and a dijon mushroom sauce 👌

The best thing about teaching cooking is its not just a job, this is a life skill.

As a small, local business i think it's important to show recognition to other local businesses.

Yesterday I had my first burger from Don Burgers!

Naturally as someone who's career is based around food, and also someone who just appreciates good food, I've had my fair share of burgers from many different places but this one was something else! Juicy, tasty, succulent, full of flavor & the sauce was just something I've never tasted. Well played.

Whilst our website is still in progress, we've had some questions in regards to what this small, local company provides, so I just wanted to provide a brief breakdown of what we do.

Isle Chef is a catering consultant business; not just an agency.
This means we help self employed chefs and catering owners/managers by finding them work/staff in the catering industry, whilst working at your standard.

On top of this, we offer our services for functions such as weddings, parties, wakes and many other events.

Lastly, we at Isle Chef understand that running a food business and/or service can be stressful, with all the paper work... Especially if you're new to the game! So with that in mind, we offer help and training with SFBB (Safer food, better business), HACCP (Hazard analysis & critical control points), staff training and everything you need to know, to work towards gaining a 5* hygiene rating.
