Today we had some special guests to officially unveil the plaques for the naming of our halls.

Recently, we lost our Top man Keith Jubb, Chairman for many years.

Beryl, his wife and Mark his son, joined us for a small emotional ceremony, as requested.

The main hall is now known as The Keith Jubb Hall.

The Lounge, is the Watmough Hall, both in memory of two very special Gentlemen, who put others first, and had the future of the village folk in their hearts and minds.

As Chairwoman, I would like to thank everyone who made today possible, thank all those who use the hall, and all our volunteers on the Committee.

Neil our Caretaker, for maintaining it.

We're always on the lookout for new Committee members, who are willing to play an active role in preserving it's future.

The Village hall, is more than just that.

It's a place where people meet, friends laugh. A place where we manage our mental and physical health.

A place where we can escape. Our forever hall.

Please can all hall users (especially those in charge of hiring the hall), check all lights are off when leaving the hall.

Our heating and electricity bill has been extortionate this Winter period, and it's important for the future of our hall to keep costs down.

Polite message too about double checking any fire escape doors that might have been opened before you leave.

It's great practice to just check, even if you haven't opened them.

We really do appreciate your help with this.
