This gorgeous little girl had no problems being left with us at the weekend whilst her mum (who only brought her over to have a play because she thought she’d be too upset if left) & dad had some time together and a catch up with friends & family.

On Saturday we had the pleasure of spending a glorious day at Bunny Hill Weddings ☀️ with the little guests at Jess & Luke’s wedding. The children ranged from 1 - 11 so we took the craft table with us which is always a hit.

I then stayed on into the evening to babysit whilst the bride & groom’s son was sleeping so their family could carry on enjoying the party!

I mean I’m sure your family & friends are more than capable of looking after your children all day and night but what happens when…

Your toddler doesn’t want to sit in silence during the ceremony because the ceremony is at lunchtime and he needs snacks and a nap.

Maybe your baby is overwhelmed by all the noise and the new faces popping in to say hello. She needs feeding and could really do with some quiet time.

And what about bedtime?

Having the offer of childcare for your wedding day from your family & close friends is incredible BUT they want to be there for YOU and see YOU on your big day. They won’t want to miss out & I’m sure you wouldn’t want them to miss out either.

Having one or more of our fabulous team on hand on your wedding will feel like a weight being lifted off your shoulders. We are there for you and your children in whatever way you need us to be. We can be there in the morning while you’re getting ready, for the ceremony incase there are any little ones who need to move their bodies and we can stay until the party is over.

We can create a magical pop-up crèche in a room inside your chosen venue or outdoors in our bell tent. This includes wooden toys, imaginative dressing up costumes, a selection of indoor & outdoor games that’ll help relieve some of the children’s (& adults) excited energy & a selection of calming books for when the party becomes too much.

If you book our fabulous Nannies they’ll arrive with a bag full of wonderful crafts for the children to get stuck into so they won’t bat an eyelid when their parents walk away…

Everything provided is carefully chosen to suit the ages of the children who’ll be entertained by them for hours while you & their parents have the best day ever 🤍

This is a wedding I’ll never forget…

Laura & Kieren are the most gorgeous couple who put SO much planning into their day to make sure their guests had the best time. They didn’t have any children of their own but wanted to make sure their little guests had as much fun as the grown ups!

I had several zoom calls with Laura & Kieren in the year leading up to their wedding (what a venue 🤩) so when it came to their big day they felt like old friends I’d not seen for a while…

We worked together & decided the Pop-Up Playroom & craft table would be the best fit for the ages of the children attending their wedding… me & my team had such fun crafting with them, dressing up, hiding in the play tent, playing games & exploring the garden.

Our biggest crèche to date…

We had to improvise a little bit with this booking due to the weather not being on our side. The couple had booked our fancy pants bell tent for the children (& us) to enjoy on their wedding day but unfortunately the torrential rain that was coming down as we arrived at the venue meant we had to go with plan B. Plan B was turning the bridal party’s hair & make up room into a crèche… hence the name “pop-up crèche” ✨

I know lots of people are sometimes dubious about booking the bell tent because of our unpredictable weather & I often get asked what happens if it rains. Well… the bell tents are completely waterproof so if it’s just a drizzle then we’ll aim to carry on as planned (with your say so) & we’ll feel even cosier inside the tent after playing in the rain… it is only water after all. I’ll be checking the weather forecast A LOT in the run up to your wedding as I’m sure you & your venue will be too & if it’s looking like it’s going to be really wet and/or windy for most of the day then we can make a plan B.

This can only mean one thing… Bell tent season is fast approaching!!!!

I haven’t posted much about bell tent hire but I can assure you it’ll still be available for 2024… so get your gang together & book in a YOU night!
The only question is… would you opt for a sleepover or a sleep-under party?

Don’t know what a sleep-under party is?
You get all the evening fun & excitement of a sleepover & then you all go home to your own beds at bedtime. It’s aimed at children who are too young to sleep out in a tent but is also perfect for mums who’s sleep is precious 😆

Did you know…?

Myself & the other wonderful Nannies who’ll be keeping your little one’s busy on your wedding day are all experienced childcarers. Most of us have children of our own & we all have lots of experience working with children in varying roles & settings either as private Nannies, working in schools or nurseries, or as childminders.

Everyone has been DBS checked, I’ve carried out reference checks to make sure only the very best people are looking after your precious children, and there’ll be at least 1 person on duty who has a paediatric first aid certificate.

Do you have little ones on your guest list?
Maybe they’re your own children?
What’s your plan for them for the day? You don’t have one?
I see… you do know that little one’s get bored at weddings don’t you? They don’t usually like standing around talking to people they don’t know & drinking fizz 🥂 or sitting & listening to speeches…

They DO however love running around (especially in between adults legs!!), playing games, exploring new toys, getting outdoors & going on adventures…

They also need things like naps (weddings are usually pretty noisy), snacks (always), nappy changes & of course they need to go to bed at some point in the evening.

But maybe you’ve thought about that & in your head your mum will be taking care of all that… but grandmas have been there, done that & would probably really like to chat & drink fizz too!

Your frequently asked questions answered…

#1 Bell Tent season starts in April & ends at the end of September. This can be flexible depending on the weather.

#2 Yes, you’ll need to pay a 25% deposit to secure your booking. I’ll usually wait a week or so to allow for thinking time and after that the date will be open to others.

#3 Yes, we can keep your little one’s busy, well fed & slept while you & your wedding party get ready for your big day!

#4 Yes, as long as your designated Nanny doesn’t have too far to drive they can stay and babysit until you’re done partying with your guests.

#5 The tents are waterproof so a little drizzle won’t matter but we all know the weather can be unpredictable even in the middle of summer so if it’s not looking good in the week leading up to your day I can work with you & your venue to come up with a back up plan.

Happy Christmas 🥂

The mighty food shop is complete & the fizz is open… what a year it’s been! The very best yet. Thank you to those of you whose precious little people we had the pleasure of playing with this year & thank you to those who’ve enquired & booked for next year ✨ it’s going to be even bigger & better and I just can’t wait to get back into the swing of things.

For now my out of office is on & will be for the next couple of weeks whilst I spend some quality time with family & friends.

Launching December 2023 ✨

The festive period is fast approaching which no doubt means your diary’s are filling up! But who’ll be staying home with your children?

Finding a babysitter whom you trust and has the skills & experience needed to settle your children at bedtime, comfort them if they wake up & make sure your home is tidy when you get home isn’t easy which is why I’ve decided to branch out and offer an at home babysitting service in & around Scarborough.

The cost will be £11 per hour.

I’m willing to travel further for an additional fee.

The Wedding Industry is the very best industry…

I’ve been working within the industry since 2021 & I’ve met so many lovely wedding suppliers, venue owners & couples (of course!). Weddings are just amazing… being able to be on the sidelines watching a bride & her tribe get ready in the morning & later walk down the aisle is just the best feeling… but it’s the speeches that always get me 😭

Working within the Wedding Industry is by no means an easy ride... There’s SO much expectation on the day & so much planning that goes into it beforehand. Some wedding plans that we make with couples are more than a year in the making & the thought that goes into it is phenomenal.

So why do we do what we do?

Yes, we get to work with great people but ultimately it’s knowing that parents are able to fully relax & thoroughly enjoy the day and that feels incredibly rewarding.

Thank you for keeping us busy. I’m so excited about what’s to come in 2024 🤍
