So, there I was, performing at a magic show for kids, all excited to dazzle them with my egg trick. You know the one—where you crack an egg and a surprise pops out? Well, I had practiced this trick countless times, and everything was going smoothly until I reached for one of the eggs.

As I cracked it open, I suddenly realized something was off. I swear, the second that shell broke, a wave of the most horrific smell wafted through the air! I think that egg had been sitting around for a bit too long. I could practically see the kids' faces turn green in horror.

But it didn’t stop there! The smell was so bad that all the windows in the venue seemed to fly open as if they were trying to escape the stench! I kid you not, I could hear a few kids gagging, and one brave little soul shouted, “Eww, that’s disgusting!”

In that moment, I went from magician to a comedy act, trying to salvage the situation. I started waving my arms like a crazed conductor, dramatically declaring, “And now, for my next trick, I will make this smell disappear!” The kids were laughing, and though they were still grossed out, I managed to turn the whole fiasco into a memorable moment.

By the end of the show, they may not have been impressed with my magic, but they sure had a story to tell about the “egg magician” who nearly cleared the room with a rotten egg! Talk about a performance that took a stinky turn!

I learned a valuable lesson that day: always check your props, especially eggs, before a show!
