📢 Attention all! 📢
It has come to our attention that cyber criminals are taking advantage of the trust placed in our beloved crematorium, Obitus, and their 'webcasts'. 😡
Reports have shown that scammers are requesting card information and charging viewers for accessing these webcasts. 😱
It is truly disheartening to hear that some members of the public have fallen victim to these scams and shared their financial information, resulting in payments being made.
In light of this alarming situation, we have taken immediate action by flagging this issue to Obitus and other key individuals in our industry.
Here at F.A. Stockill and Son Funeral
Services, our aim is to raise awareness and protect our families from falling into the clutches of these deceitful scammers.
If you choose to share the login details for your loved one's funeral webcast on any social media platform, we kindly request that you inform your audience that they will *NEVER* be asked for payment to view the webcast. 🙅♂️🚫
For more information and helpful tips on how to avoid falling victim to social media funeral stream scams, please visit:

We would also like to clarify the payment process. The cost of a webcast, among other services, is already included in the crematorium's invoice to the funeral director. The funeral director then passes on this cost as a disbursement to the account holder of the bereaved family in the final invoice. 💰
Let's stand together against these scammers and protect our grieving families.
Allegations of fraud and cybercrime should be reported to Action Fraud: the UK’s national fraud and cybercrime reporting centre:
