My name is Katy, I am a freelance florist with over 15 years experience in floristry. I was one half of Darling & Green working when I first ventured out into the world of wedding floristry, working with Kirsty from The Wilde for many years on weddings across the North East. I then ran my own business called Ginger Rose for several years before taking a break during the pandemic and returning as a

freelance florist. Over the years I've worked at various venues from Middleton Lodge, Danby Castle, Wynyard Hall, Natural Retreats, Lartington Hall, Grinkle Park, and private venues dressing Marquees & Tepees. I can cover arches, hanging installations, staircases, bridal flowers, pedestals, table centers, head dresses etc. I'm happy to help you with styling and planning details so that you can focus on the rest. I'm based in Stockton and close to the A19, A66 so okay to travel to venues in the North East or travel further. Some of you already know that me and my Family recently moved back to our roots in Stockton-on-Tees, to start a new chapter. It was all a little hectic to start with as most house moves are. Things have changed since then due to Covid 19. We definitely weren't expecting to have so much time on our hands to work on the new cutting garden & workshop but this strange time is giving us the chance to do just that.
So when 'lock down' is over and some kind of normality resumes, we'll be here ready to bring a little bit of floral happiness back.

This December I'll be doing a few Wreath making workshops in collaboration with Esk Moors Caring & Activities and also some with Gisborough Hall.
So if you'd like a pre Christmas chill out, all you will have to bring is yourself, some secateurs and an apron. It can get messy! The rest of the materials will be provided for you and I'll guide you step by step to transform them all into a beautiful festive decoration to take home.
Workshops at Gisborough Hall will be on Thursday 5th December @ 6pm and Saturday 7th December at 11am. Please contact the hall on 01287 611500 or email [email protected] to book your place.

A couple of weekends ago we put together a sweet little archway of heather and fox gloves outside the woodland bridal yurt at Baby Moon. A rather special glamping site where you can say your I do's in a traditional hand tying ceremony along side your friends and family and mother nature.

One of my favourite roses this season is Westminster Abbey. It's so so pretty with it's ruffled petals, warm colour and sweet delicate scent. Here it is pictured in a bridal bouquet in early June and on it's own. ❤️
