I don’t often post about personal things but I thought credit should be given where credit is due. On Saturday evening my family and I visited Iron Lillies (https://www.instagram.com/iron.lilies) restaurant in Hull. This restaurant opened its doors in July and has received some particularly scathing reviews - so much so that it very nearly put me off visiting. However it’s a new venture and with all new ventures come teething problems. So we gave it a go. And I’m pleased we did. The decor was unique; the tables were clean; the service was great; and the food was delicious. Sometimes new businesses have to be given that chance to shine.

And an added bonus to the evening was live music provided by James Wood. A pianist and singer - he was incredible and I’d recommend him to any of my couples!

Any couples interested in viewing the Old Wheat Barn at The Pink Pig Farm for weddings, please note that viewings with the barn set up for a wedding are only available until 25th October. I had the pleasure of meeting lots of couples this evening at the Old Wheat Barn. So much interest in this beautiful venue with one couple even securing their date for 2026 tonight.

A massive congratulations to Matthew and Alesha who were married yesterday at the Old Wheat Barn, The Pink Pig Farm. Despite the weather the guests and couple still enjoyed time outside on the patio and in the garden, and then later in the evening it was great to see so many people on the dance floor. It has been so lovely supporting Matthew and Alesha with their wedding plans and helping to make it a truly amazing day for them. Their smiles throughout the day just said it all.
