I'm absolutely in love with our Christmas tree this year!
Other than picking the tree and my addition of a little reindeer, I can take absolutely no credit for it.
I am immensely grateful to Chloe for her design and hard work to create something so magical in our home and Bella who was a huge help to put it all together and did a fantastic job with the lights.

There was so much to find and now I'm once again down a rabbit warren of speculating on what happened here over the last few hundred years.
The two main conundrums are the number of musket balls in one section and dozens of coins from the 1940s in another.
Does anyone happen to know if there was a battle around Camblesforth or a training camp in the 15/1600s?

A busy day of pool clearing and frog saving!
We cobbled together a filter system (patent pending) with some things we found in the shed, to stop the pump from getting constantly blocked. Before this we were relying on a pull system and buckets.
We stank and our backs are aching but its ready for the wet vac tomorrow, then stripping and more cleaning ready for the lining in about 3 weeks!
We have started putting up the fairy lights in the barns this week. Luckily we had someone on hand to help with the big switch on! 🥰
We might not have a floor or skirting boards yet but at least it's starting to look more finished!
