Wreaths wreaths wreaths!
What a gorgeous evening we had at Romeo’s Bar Italiano on Monday. Slightly short on photos as I snapped a few ‘work in progress’ pics, but everyone loved their Christmas cocktail (or mocktail) as we arrived and began our wreath-making.
Everyone left feeling very festive and with a beautiful wreath to hang and admire. Plus a few of us took advantage of a takeaway pizza from Florena’s Italian Howden for the journey home, mine was absolutely delicious 🥰
Thank you for having us Romeo’s, and looking forward to my final workshop of the year with you on Tuesday 17th Dec! As I write we have 6 places left available on this one, £45pp including all wreath materials and decorations, a Christmas cocktail of your choice from a selection, and some gorgeous panettone in the drink break 🎄

A lovely festive morning creating your fresh foliage wreath, then adorning it with your choice of accessories from our wreath bar.
Mince pies or biscuits in the drink interlude, and a choice of festive drinks are available to purchase from the bar.
Booking closes tomorrow morning at 10:30 when the workshop will disappear from my website. Feel free to message with any questions!

A quick note, if you are using the website and try to purchase more places than are still available, the page will show you that there is an error - this is to avoid overbooking as we have carefully checked how many people can comfortably fit at each venue. As some plants begin to feel the chill, some flourish! The cosmos and snapdragons are loving the cooler weather, the jasmine has become a delightful wall of Autumn red and the fatsia has put on a final spurt of growth before the winter weather sets in.
The first long-term investment I put into The Floral Chambers was the purchase of five different varieties of eucalyptus, a couple of each. I coppiced/pollarded each at the beginning of this season knowing that next year my hard work would begin to pay off - so excited to use these in our workshop designs!

Spotlight on our next workshop at the beautiful St Mary's Church of Birkin and Beal!
This wonderful church is such a gorgeous setting for a relaxed evening working with lots of fresh and lush greenery from The Flower Connection, with some carefully chosen focal flowers. It's also a warm space for the community to benefit from - the underfloor heating runs to ensure that a cosy place to make yourself a free warm drink is always available. I will be making a donation to the church as a 'thank you' for hosting and to ensure that their amazing work can continue.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided along with all the materials you will need to create your arrangement. Here is the direct link to book through my website!

A little to share this evening!
Here is the event poster for November’s two Greenery Centrepieces - with just around a month to go now is the time to book in. All of my workshops will now close for bookings 7 days before the event, I have a few new suppliers that need a little longer to get their gorgeous products over to me and my little studio, and having a choice means I can keep my prices low for as long as possible. Photos of last year’s November creation just for the attention!

A little different today, I wanted to show you the difference that a little bit of carefully chosen foliage can make to a vase arrangement!
These are just a few beauties from my Autumn garden, grown from seed and tuber, and they looked ever so sad when I had just picked them, drooping over the sides of the jug. I added a piece of variegated pittosporum and a sprig of rosemary to add support - it also meant that when I placed the flowers they stayed where I put them rather than being pulled in a different direction by their heavy heads. I will share the video of me arranging them soon!

Last minute places available on the pumpkin workshop, Tuesday 15th October at 7pm, the New Inn Barlby. You will need to bring your pumpkin with the lid removed, and I will provide the rest!
