It's FRIDAY!! Thank goodness...
.. And with half term and Hallowe'en, just around the corner and Bonfire night soon after, you'll be headlong into Christmas prep before you know it!

Perhaps, now is the time to schedule in a little bit of "me-time" before the madness of Christmas properly kicks in.

I'm hugely honoured to be asked to host Christmas Wreath-Making Workshops at Chartwell National Trust once more. Such a beautiful place, just a stone's throw from Sevenoaks.

All materials, equipment and festive refreshments are included and BONUS - entry to Chartwell is also included, so you can stretch out that "me-time" to the whole day should you wish to. Tickets have recently been released and some of the sessions are already almost booked up, so message your mate, partner, family member and get it in the diary.

One of the most important aspects of my job as a florist is farewell flowers.

It’s a huge privilege to help people at their most desperately sad time decide upon the best floral tributes to send their loved ones on their last journey.

With this in mind I’m going to be creating some specialist albums showcasing all of the options, so that future clients can easily find ideas and inspiration, most importantly with transparent pricing.

Being asked to create funeral tributes by a grieving family is one of the biggest privileges. Whether the family just want to send me a picture of something they like, or if they want a face to face meeting, either way is fine with me.

I've created very many funeral tributes in my florist life and do my very best to interpret the family's ideas into something beautiful that just helps ease the pain a tiny little bit on the day.

Whether it be wildflower style coffin sprays, mixed flower hearts, classic crosses or the bespoke pieces such as frogs, owls, campervans, welly boots or even the shield of a Maasai Warrior - I create every one with heart and passion.

I'm just starting to update our funeral flower portfolio, so if you know anyone who might benefit from some guidance, please let them know about us.

I know it's January right, but my mind is firmly on Spring, which is when the wonderful Granville Spring Festival takes place - this year on Friday 22nd March!

Happy New Year to you all!

So who of you managed to last all the way to the 12th night (today) to take down your Christmas decorations?

Or are you one of the impatient ones like me? We had the pleasure of family staying over at ours for New Year, but as soon as they were on the motorway home, I packaged away all of Christmas for another year, cleaned the house and dotted tulips everywhere!

I'm in full-on planning mode this next week or so - watch out for news on regular workshops I have planned, starting with a Mother's Day treat. Thanks to the lovely Doreen & Suzie for modelling!
