This classic 1960s rocking chair is a true family treasure. I love hearing the stories of your cherished pieces, the memories that come with each one of them make my work more meaningful.

Gift idea 💡 just a genius one!

My client Joanne (who is one of the loveliest women I’ve ever met) had an idea of gifting this gorgeous inherited chaise longue to her son and his family for Christmas! I knew it was a special piece as Jo had it for years and it was the right time to give it a new lease of life.

Long distance relationships do work!

This project was commissioned by a client who found me on instagram. Carol (the client )doesn’t live in Sheffield and we never met!

I was asked to source a chair of particular measurements so that it fitted with a new dressing table. It took a while and my deadline was Christmas and here we are! Carole picked this fabulous dusky pink velvet (ICONIC) by and this is the result.

Shipping it to her new home this week along with one more piece you might remember- the Timorous Beasties round pouffe.

Talking sofas! ✨This one was very a very special restoration for .young.14473

It is a vintage two seater Parker Knoll that is no longer in production. It that was left to her and her family by her grandfather. It’s been with them for years and finally got a new lease of life!

A week later…. We have a happy customer who just collected her chaise longue. I really loved the renovation of this piece. The woodwork was beautiful and the lilac tone of the velvet went really well with it.

New in the shop 🛍️

Vintage storage boxes are my favourite things to restore. This one I’ve had for years and decided to give it a revamp.

The woven exterior is light grey and the top was upholstered in this gorgeous linen 💯 from from their English Garden collection.

I am glad to be back at work after a turbulent few days 🥴 at home with a toddler and a stomach bug 🐛 oh nursery how we love you!

Now about the chair! It was found sitting lonely on a street of Broomhill by my mother in law who somehow saw potential in this unwanted piece. I didn’t at first but once a paired it with this beautiful check fabric it all made sense.

I am still finding my style so I guess this is one step closer.

Welcome to my little upholstery studio. Thank you for stopping by! My name is Monika and recently moved to the amazing city of Sheffield after a 15 year blast in the magical London. I used to be a florist since I moved there from Poland and for the last 8 years I was running my own flower studio in Mayfair. I looooved my job. However I felt it was the right time to reinvent myself, move to Sheffield with my amazing boyfriend Adam (a native Sheffildian lol) and take up a new challenge. I learned one thing about myself and that was I needed to make things with my hands for living. I couldn't imagine doing anything else but to create. When we first moved here I wanted to fill our house with unique and original pieces and I struggled to be inspired. I am extremely house proud therefore it was so important for me to make our home personal and tell a story so I thought I would make my own. I made curtains, cushions, I painted all the interior myself, I even made my own bed sheets. I couldn't stop there so I figured I could learn upholstery as that was the biggest challenge for a self tought decorator. So I did and here I am. I found designing and making furniture pieces gave my soul what it needed so I decided to start doing it for living. I hope you like my creations.
