What a week it’s been on Instagram 😅 After rolling out the new full screen interface that totally flopped, Instagram have said they are now pulling back on some of the changes (for now).
Recommended posts have stopped and they are rethinking the new full screen version (thank goodness) 😳
I don’t know about you guys but I’m suddenly seeing the accounts I actually follow for the first time in ages! It actually makes Instagram more appealing and way nicer to use again 👏🏼
I really hope they listen to our feedback as I love Instagram and don’t want a rubbish version of Tick Tock. I enjoy the beauty of the stillness of photos and although I do love video too, I don’t want to feel like I’m being forced into making it and then resenting the process because of that 🤦♀️
Personally I think they need to make a reels tab and a photos tab. Then we can decide what we, as the users of this app, look at. I find the fast and frantic energy of a lot of reels quite overwhelming at times. And trending sounds really start to grate on me, even if I originally liked the song 😫
There must be a way through this that balances photo content and video content ⚖️
