Our skills lie in providing creative event solutions for our clients and our aim is to create quirky, beautiful events on any budget from pop-up and outdoor cinema, to weddings, festivals and celebration events. We have created stunning weddings in derelict warehouse spaces, tennis courts and rural locations. We can organise and manage your entire day from scratch or we can organise individual aspects such as; sourcing your perfect venue, dressing your venue and/or coordinating your wedding on your big day. We also offer a wedding hire service on lighting (festoon, illuminated lanterns, fairy lights and uplighters), staging, sound systems, vintage deckchairs, silent disco headphones, pop up cinemas, shabby chic sofas and more. Hello 👋 we thought we’d show our faces as we’ve been so busy recently and social media has taken a bit of a back seat.
We’re Claire & Laura, a sister duo who run The Village Green Events along with our dad Eamonn. We set the business up nearly 10 years ago and we’ve grown and evolved in that time and we find we’re working more and more on beautiful and creative wedding decor and styling proposals and transforming venues into dream weddings for our clients. We’re also working on experiential events too for and 💛
We’ve always been creative thinkers and dreamers, if someone tells us something isn’t possible we’ll always try and find a way! Every wedding we work on is completely different because we love getting to know our clients and your vision before putting together a completely personalised design proposal. We love helping to enhance the vision too.

“A traditional boozy celebration”, oh how we have loved working with you two over the past year.
And these glorious sneak peeks by have really captured the essence of Lizzi and Phil.
This really was a beautiful wedding to style, striking a balance between traditional ivory and tartan with some more colourful and sparkly touches.
We particularly enjoyed creating the mirror ball hoop with Mel working in our team to do the floral arrangements inside the marquee. Thanks Mel at 🎉.

We loved working with Julia & Jon-Paul last year to plan and style their incredible wedding at , and we got to work with such a fantastic supplier team! It really was a beautiful day.

Oh wow, we have absolutely LOVED looking at these preview shots by the incredible .
We first met up with Leah & Sam in January 2023 to assist them in planning their epic and colourful wedding at in Sheffield, and these guys picked an absolutely top class team of suppliers to deliver their dream wedding vision.
We styled the venue, with some of the best streamers in the business (hired from ), one of our extra sparkly large mirror balls, white drape, uplights and candles, with fun stationary provided by .
provided the epic pie and pea dinner, and there was even a secret brass band set and a game of Bongo’s Bingo!
As our first wedding of the year, this one really brought the magic and we absolutely loved working with this couple 🤩.
We’re excited to be back at Trafalgar Warehouse in two weeks for another epic set up!

As well as weddings, we love planning and designing experiential events and we’re planning a few this year 💛
We loved planning this experiential 80’s office party for last summer in an empty office block in Sheffield City Centre. The actors were incredible and everyone breaking into singing Dolly Parton’s 9-5 at the end of the night was so fun.
Guests received their invites in individual cassette tapes and enjoyed a babysham tower, a cheese and pineapple hedgehog, vol au vents, triffle and music by the guys from the accounts department (). As well as lots of other fun surprises.

Ribbons and bows 💛
We absolutely loved working on Hooton Pagnell’s wedding showcase at the weekend and we always love the opportunity to moodboard and create styling ideas with .
It was the perfect opportunity for us create installations with ribbons, experiment with bows and add mirror balls and candles alongside Karon’s beautiful florals.
It was also fantastic to work with , who captured these shots as well as whose cakes are absolutely dreamy and who provided some gorgeous sofas and armchairs for the event.
These photos are taken from the Tithe Barn at Hooton Pagnell, we’ll share more from the ceremony set up soon which was all about brighter, jewel colours.

What fun we had working on this extra sparkly wedding at with the utterly delightful Pippa and Tim 🪩🤩🪩
Pippa wanted simple and pretty with a large dollop of fun party vibes and I think we delivered on the brief.
We have absolutely loved looking through the official photos by and it was so lovely to work with who nailed the green and white floral brief.

Wow, we absolutely love working on Autumnal weddings and Xanthe & Jack’s wedding at last October was just so beautiful.
October is such a nice time of year for a wedding because you can really make use of great lighting, you can see how the space transformed from day to night in these pics. We also love adding our whimsical drapes to Peddler warehouse 🤩, they look so pretty.
The gorgeous flower cloud and epic cake just made it that extra bit wow.

Our last big event of the year was for St Luke’s Hospice, delivering their beautiful Festival of Light event.
We’ve been lucky enough to work with them for two years now, and this event was emotional, reflective and an opportunity to cherish loved ones and remember those we’ve lost. The work that does is incredible, caring for those with terminal illness across Sheffield.
We are so grateful to have had such a great year with 2024 looking set to be even busier. Thank you to all our clients and followers for your continued support of our small business. We wish you a very merry Christmas filled with love, laughter and hugs with precious loved ones.

The weather was biblical but the spirits kept everyone dancing.
These very cool cucumbers got married back in July and we helped style the chapel and outdoor spaces, as well as provide lighting, outdoor white gazebos and deckchairs.
We really do love a wedding at the Samuel Worth Chapel and captured the joy of the day perfectly. The rain certainly did not stop the fun!

We’ve had a few new followers recently so we just wanted to do a little introduction and say hello 👋
We’re Claire & Laura and together we run The Village Green events. I (Claire) started the company in 2015 and Laura joined a few years ago after being an incredible teacher for over 10 years.
Between us we have 3 young sons and a dog, and we are both netball obsessed (although don’t get to play as much as we used to).
We work alongside an amazing freelance team and we also get to work with our dad, Eamonn, who can often be seen scaling ladders and hanging festoon and mirrorballs. We really are a small, family business.
Every wedding and event proposal we work on is bespoke, so we can help with planning, as well as design, styling and installations. Our job is exciting and different every day and we love helping couples and clients achieve their vision (and more than what they thought was possible).
We also run a pop-up cinema called and are currently organising events for . Organising an experiential 80’s office party for them was definitely one of this year’s highlights.

What an incredible event organised by to celebrate the volunteers of Sheffield who really make a difference to our incredible community.
Wow, where to even start with this wedding. We began working with Thea & Rob 18 months before their wedding day at . This wedding had absolutely everything and let me tell you…this family knows how to party!
We supported Thea & Rob with their decor vision for the day, as well as styling, set up and on the day wedding support. We also installed beautiful festoon lighting and up lights, both inside and outside. We will share some more pictures of the lighting soon as it really did create a wow factor in the evening.
We were so lucky to be part of such a dream team and we are super excited to now be working with Thea’s twin, Izzy on her wedding vision 🤩.

We’re delighted to be working on some beautiful warehouse weddings this year with lots of quotes and proposals to also get finished for next year’s weddings at Peddler Events Trafalgar Warehouse and also our first wedding at Kelham Island Museum 💛💛💛
Just a little throwback to Rowena and Josh’s perfect Peddler wedding last Autumn. We just loved this classy but cool vibe.
We were at show on Sunday as event producers 🙌 and we LOVED helping to set up the show, as well as setting up our rather colourful stand.
It’s a great show, full of independent and creative suppliers who really care about what they do. I wish I had taken more pics and video but I was non-stop talking to couples, which I guess is a good thing!
