STORMY SHEFFIELD 🌨❄️

We usually get absolutely battered in Sheffield with the snow but this time around, it was next level. I also live at the top of a very steep hill so I'm always stranded (too many written off cars to chance trying to get down in the car 🫣).

I was SO anxious about this particular storm because I knew I had this job booked in which I really didn't want to have to cancel. My partner was abroad and I had arranged childcare for my littlun and to be quite honest, the weather was about to f**k it all up (swipe for SNOW). I decided to go for it and OH MY GOD was is stressful 🥲 no taxis could collect me so me, my 3 year old son and all my equipment and prep had to make it to a location that a taxi would attempt to get to. Basically, we pretty much fell down the hill, spent more time on our arses than our feet. As we got towards the taxi, he drove off and still charged me, we were soaking wet, my son was crying and this was all before 7.15am. Luckily, we managed to flag down another cab and was able to get on the way. Was it an absolute nightmare? Yes. Am I glad I did it? Yes! Letting customers down, even in the most excusable of circumstances is just not something anyone in this industry wants to do. Who knows where each job will lead you? ❤️✨️

Anyway, I'd probably do it again. I'd just have to invest in a sledge 🛷

The work they do is incredible. They externally promote Sheffield's trade, talent and tourism whilst bringing in many visitors to Sheffield which is great for it's economy.

It was a pleasure to be involved.

AWARDS ✨️

Display for True North's annual awards evening at Sheffield City Hall. Green, Gold and Black with Black and Gold Nebula print to break up the colours and add a bit of glamour. The new 24" changed the game!

This was the first job I've committed to and ended up being super poorly during the run up and on the day. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do BUT all I wanted to do was stay in bed. I got the prep done in stages, leaving time to sleep in between and on the morning of the event, it was very much a joggers, hoodie and messy hair kind of vibe but I got it done with time to spare and I'm SO glad I did. One of my faves so far.

I really really hate wasting balloons. Not only because they are expensive (and they really are!) but also because it hurts my soul to pop them straight after an event after all the work that goes into it. I try to save what I can so that I can repurpose them for some content 🙌

Their offices, facilities and event space are incredible. I incorporated their new branding colours too which worked out pretty well. Sore fingers? Yes. Worth it? YES.

I was debating whether to post this as my technique has proved alot since this was taken but I love the colours and this was the first time that I tried double stuffing balloons to achieve the colours that I wanted. It's always good to look back to see growth I suppose!

The theme was safari but wanted to stay away from garish greens and oranges and it matched the rest of the decor perfectly.
