We meticulously test every game in our party packs.

Today one of the games was to throw balls on the centre of our flowers. The wind blew the petals across and made the game too tricky for outdoors. It won't be in our outdoor packs.

Great fun inside though and super easy to make.

Rehide one of your eggs for others to find, to make the challenge last even longer.

Make sure that the finder gives it back to the hider. Chocolate is important!

Why not make the take away a little mini game?

Children will be so much more excited if they earn the prize rather than being given it.

It's also a great way of of saying 'this is the end'!

Pass the parcel is an absolute MUST for a young children's party. Here are our top 5 tips (years of learning the hard way!)

1. Choose a small prize...after the 9th layer of paper goes on you'll be thankful the parcel isn't bigger than your smallest guest.

2. Make sure the last layer has different coloured paper so you know you have reached the end of game. Spoilers for grown ups only!

3. Make sure there is enough layers for each of your party guests to unwrap. A sweet on each layer is very welcome.

4. Before you start wrapping the parcel, put out the number of sweets for the layers you need. That way, you won't lose count when a small person shouts or the kettle boils and have to start again. Trust us, it has happened.

5. If you have more than 12-15 guests, the game will be a test of endurance for you and your guests. Consider doing two smaller parcels at the same time. Good luck to the music stopper!

BONUS tip...have some extra sweets if extra children turn up!

If you have a child who doesn't want to join in a game you can still involve them. Give them a special helper job. Some children may want to join in later when they have had a chance to watch.

Top tip: always have a couple of spare party bags or sweets for unexpected guests who may turn up on the day!

We have learnt a new variation on the 'keep the balloon in the air' game today.

Give every child a number and stand in a circle. Throw the balloon in the air.

When their number is called they must stop the balloon from touching the floor. Keep calling numbers.

A tiny bit of order in the chaos!

Bored at bus stops?

Always time for a game of wink murder!

Stand in a circle and ask the detective to turn away. Choose one of you to be the murderer.

If the murderer winks at you, you must stick your tongue out and shut your eyes. (You normally fall down, but bus stops aren't clean unsually!)

Invite the detective to guess who the murderer is before they kill everyone!

Some great playful obstacles and challenges with just a few simple floor markers.

On the beach? Play this simple throwing game! Draw a target in the sand and choose three stones of the same colour for each player.

Take turns to try and get them as near to the centre as you can. If you feel competitive you can add scores up too!

Have great fun jewellery making with some paper straws and string.

Really simple craft activity - just cut coloured straws to different lengths to make your pattern.

Make sure you tie a knot on one end of the string first to avoid tears!

In honour of Valentine's Day here is the classic children's game Postman's Knock. Anyone remember this?! I have tweaked it a bit for modern times!

1. Send someone out of the room to be the postman
2. Give all the children a number
3. The postman must knock on the door and say " I have a delivery for Number x please".
4. The child with that number goes with the postman
5. The postman says "How many stamps would you like?" And gently stamps on their foot that many times.
6. The postman can offer "Would you like a letter?" And if they say yes, they get a kiss on the cheek.
7. Now the postman can go back in the room and the child is the new postman.

Fancy an 'Under the sea' party? Have great fun making your own jellyfish decorations with some cheap umbrellas and some tissue paper tassels.

Great prop for a 'follow the leader' game too! Just give the leader the jellyfish umbrella and everyone copy what they do. Best for over 5s...

Thank you to all our new followers!

We're going to celebrate by sharing a classic party game called 'Fruit Salad'.

Divide the children playing into at least 3 groups. Give each group a fruit name - banana, apple, orange, grape....

When you call out the fruit name, those children most run around the circle/room/to the tree and back and sit down again.

When you call out fruit salad, they all most go.

Have fun with fruity combinations! Keep going until they need a rest.

Classic Party Game of the Week!

You will need:
A big bar of chocolate
A knife and fork
Lots of hats, coats, gloves
A dice

How to play:
Sit in a circle
Take it in turns to roll the dice
If it lands on a six - you must start putting all the extra clothes on. If you get them all on you can start cutting the choc with the knife and fork and eating it.
Meanwhile, everyone else is trying to roll a six to have their turn!

Keep playing until the choc runs out!
