We're thrilled to share that Festival of the Sea Grimsby has been shortlisted as Festival of the Year for the Tourism Excellence Awards.

That's right, we're officially competing for an award for the first time! This is a huge testament to our community, partners and funders that believe in the festival, its importance and its aims.

Congratulations to all the other finalists, and thank you to Greater Lincolnshire & Rutland Tourism Excellence Award for this wonderful recognition.

Would you like to join us in the Great Grimsby Light Parade that forms part of the🎄Great Grimsby Christmas Festival🎄?

We’ve opened up applications for dance groups and community groups to take part. You’ll need to dress up in the lights theme – think fairy lights, glow sticks, LEDs, lanterns – and create a linear simple choreography to perform as you walk in the parade, for a chance to win a prize for the best dressed group or for the best group’s choreography!

🌊 is finally here this Saturday 22nd June ✨

This year we have received the amazing support of £49k from to develop the programme and the role of the community in developing this rich and cultural festival.

The programme is vaste and diverse, celebrating the heritage of the town’s relationship with the sea, while also looking at the exciting future ahead.

From Stand Up paddle boarding to fish cookery demo, live music theatrical shanties and mass community dance, an interactive fortune teller installation, a poetry game show - with of course, a world record attempt of messages in a bottle too ⚓️🐟

We have also expanded the fringe events activities, to include a 💥 Festival of the Sea After Party! 💥

The festival is shaping up to be an incredible day of local and national performances designed by the community and for the community 🌊✨

We are seeking proposals for a Community Engagement Project in Grimsby.
Festival Date: Saturday 22 June 2024
Brief Overview: Prior to the Festival of the Sea, engage the local community through free workshops such as arts and crafts, soundscapes, dance, storytelling, and circus activities to foster creativity and build excitement. These activities will culminate in a unique spectacle during the event, showcasing Grimsby's maritime heritage or cultural future.

Happy Streets is a free, indoor and outdoor, multi-artform festival aimed at families living in Nine Elms to promote happiness and wellbeing. Commissioned by Richmond & Wandsworth Council and produced by us, Swans Events!

We're seeking expressions of interest applications from artists, community groups and local organisations to help develop the 2024 festival programme. We are seeking proposals for activities, events and performances that explore at least one of the following themes:

Have you seen the highlights video from our most recent event? We shared in recently. We LOVED working with North East Lincs Council to produce the Love Your Town events back in Feb. Its great to work with the local community to come together and celebrate three fantastic towns.

The events are funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda.
