Beautifully imperfect 🤍 I carefully source textured irregular naturally-formed baroque pearls to mirror the hammered gold plated finish of this striking elongated hoop design when I make these earrings.

My first draft of the Edie design used pearls with a much smoother finish and it just didn’t feel quite right! I nearly gave up until I had a flash of inspiration and now they’re one of my all time favourites!

I also love that choosing such irregular pearls means that each pair I make is completely unique to the wearer 👌🏻

Delighted to say that my full new collection of earrings is now LIVE on the website! There’s 16 new designs in total - but I can only share 10 in a carousel - so get scrolling to see my picks!

I’ve gone for all gold as it feels more satisfying to keep the colours the same ☺️ but they’re all available in silver too.

I nearly gave up on this earring design for my new collection - until inspiration suddenly struck with less than 24 hours to before my photoshoot! Gave up on Tuesday, tried again on Wednesday, photographed on Thursday, and now a favourite design and one of the standout images of the whole collection! Kind of pleased I kept going!

Lets talk about one of my favourite things in the world - tea! Are you a tea drinker? How do you drink yours if so? 🫖 My daily go-to is Yorkshire Tea Gold, ideally with Yorkshire Water which is genuinely better than bottled and one of many reasons I love living in Sheffield!

Unless I’m feeling fancy I put the tea bag in a mug, add freshly boiled water, and then milk. I prefer skimmed milk and I’m constantly searching for a non-dairy milk that really hits the spot in tea. I’ve swapped dairy for oat milk for ethical/eco reasons for everything else but this is my guilty pleasure.

I like my tea strong, but not stewed, with a decent splash of milk - but not full-on milky. I don’t take sugar and when I meet someone who has their tea exactly like me I instantly feel connected to them!

Ate breakfast from my favourite handmade bowl this morning and I had a play with editing in - swipe 👉🏼 for the original photo taken in my dark blue living room! I broke some rules here - keeping the floor lamp behind me on when usually I’d turn off all artificial light but I really like the shadows - and I’m not always a fan of following the rules, especially when it comes to creativity! I really love this edit but I’d love to know what you think - especially my photographer pals - as I know I’ve got lots to learn! Also I hugely recommend buying high quality handmade (obviously 😉) - the joy this beautiful bowl brings me is so worth the price and it’s also incredibly well made, sturdy and completely dishwasher-safe so I know it’s going to last!

Decided to up my photography game with an actual camera instead of my iPhone and bagged myself a bargain from the used section of just down the road from my studio. I chose a bridge camera which means I can point and shoot but also change the settings so it’s the perfect way to ease myself in to maybe finally learning what apertures and shutter speeds mean without spending a fortune - just in case I can’t get to grips with it! I’m quite pleased with this photo I took from the passenger seat of our car last night in the Peak District and I’ve spent most of today working through the manual finding out what everything does. It’s a LOT so wish me luck!

I've added a warmer ivory headband option to my Esme birdcage veil headband design - perfect if you're wearing a richer ivory tone on your wedding day.

The pale ivory colour on the right is perfect teamed with pale ivory or white, while the warm ivory on the left will work with richer ivory tones. Our model wears the pale ivory wedding headband.

Happy Halloween!

I couldn’t resist the opportunity to share more from the beautiful Alexandria French Photography Halloween inspired photo series so here you go!

These pictures were the result of a collaboration with Alex and Betty's Flower Club - something they've done for the last three Halloweens now - and I was so excited to pick out a couple of headpieces just for this year's shoot.

Halloween is the subject of much excitement in our house thanks to a five-year-old who genuinely loves this day more than Christmas! He’s been leaving ‘spooky tricks’ all over the house for days to make us jump and is ridiculously excited to go trick or treating later dressed as a skeleton (yet again). He’s especially on the look-out for choking hazards (his words) so I really hope the neighbourhood can deliver on this! Hope you have a great Halloween too - just don’t choke on a lollipop!

If you’re a fan of the Princess of Wales’ Coronation tiara you’ll love my Mabel jewelled botanical crown! For the King’s Coronation today the Princess wore a bespoke tiara by milliner Jess Collett and Alexander McQueen which had a similar shape and botanical aesthetic to my Mabel crown - and I think it’s the perfect choice for a glamorous floral-inspired wedding. Her modern choice was a huge surprise to commentators who expected either a traditional tiara or a fresh flower crown - instead the Princess of Wales stunned with a spectacular wedding-worthy sparkling silver and crystal crown that would be perfect for a modern botanical-inspired wedding. Her daughter Princess Charlotte also wore a ‘mini-me’ smaller headpiece based on her mother’s crown - you could recreate this matching mother and daughter look with my small Thea hairvine pictured here. In fact I’ve already customised this piece for the young daughter of one of my bride by adding it to a slim headband, which makes it easier for a little girl to wear.

Ever fancied having a good old nosey around my studio - or have some burning questions you’d like to ask about my work? I’ll be opening up my workshop as part of my building’s Open Studios weekend so you can do just that!
