For Folks Sake........Music at Bishops' House. is where it's at!
September is quite a folky, vibey, fest with some amazing artists blazing trails across the land.

Wed 10th Sep, "An Evening with Mikey Kenney"
Highly respected fiddle player, singer, songwriter, Trad, Psychy and Tarantella inspired songs

Thu 11th Sep, from residing in Italy to Sheffield ,Buck Curran and Max Tzortzatos (Deserto Parallax). A devotee of Robbie Basho, Buck brings his own sensitive, unique approach to classic "primitive" guitar.

Tues 16th Sept Henry Parker & Joost Dijkema
A shared passion for 70’s finger-style guitar music and a deep reverence for the work of cult legend Michael Chapman has led these two musicians, living on either side of the North Sea, to journey over the water to play music on each other’s home turf.
Henry is no stranger to BH, simply one of the best original folk writers of today and a wonderfully robust interpreter of the Trad ouvre! Said it!

Gigs Galore, Staying Cool at BBishops House
Been a full on few weeks despite no gigs at BH. BUT we are hurtling towards a Jam Packed series for the Autumn.
Only 4 tickets left for Pete and Emma on 30th Aug. (I may bring Cake)

We have just announced the first two Audio Visual gigs for October and we expect tickets to fly. They will be super limited due to technical requirements so don't sleep

August House will wrap up with an amazing double
Emma Tricca will bring the Psych/Folk vibes with beautiful songs to spirit us away to magical worlds.
Pete Astor needs little introduction. As leader of iconic bands The Loft and The Weather Prophets (and much more) Pete explores the small things that reveal much larger vistas. He will be drawing on the songs of over 40 years plus new archival material from his new LP "Unsent Letters"

Two Great gig announcements on the way. The second at 10.00am tomorrow.

Summerisle are folk duo.,Sally Doherty and Frank Birtwistle, two independent artists have been drawn together by a desire to craft new poetic songs. Their works span reworked choice folk songs and reflective original pieces.
