After gaining a reputation in Sheffield as the place to go to discover the latest, breakthrough underground bands from across the country, Sheffield’s number one Indie club night ‘Room on Fire’ is returning bigger and better in 2013. Since it’s birth in 2011, the club night has had numerous sell outs at Sheffield city centre venue ‘SAWA,’ it didn’t take a genius to work out that “RoF” had grown up
far quicker than expected, and therefore 2012 saw its relocation to arguably the home of Sheffield music – the Frog & Parrot. This legendary venue, located slap bang in the middle of Sheffield’s busiest bar street, will played host to Room on Fire on the last Friday of every month and will featured 2 ‘sh*t hot’ breakthrough bands from across the UK, plus the finest Indie/Rock/Alt DJ’s spinning everything from The Smiths to The Sunshine Underground to The Strokes to Saturday Sun, until the early hours, all of this was for free! Moving into 2013, we have now taken on dates at reputable venues The Plug and Sheffield’s O2 Academy, as we try and give more and more bands the opportunity to get infront of crowds and play with like minded souls/kindred spirits/other cool kids, on the finest stages the city has to offer. Not only this, but we have now also taken on our own first act, and for the first time ever we will be representing The Ratells – aiming to help with all press/bookings and general management.
